This looks really useful but I have no clue how to use it, is there a tutorial video or anything available? Also thank you for this awesome tool, I want to learn how to utilize it!

It's my pleasure! I'm quite proud of what I've achieved so I'm always happy when it is appreciated.

Sadly I'm not aware of any video tutorials that may have been created.
(If there are people who wish to do so, consider this my permission. Note that I will be releasing an update that will essentially automate extension installs in the near future)
However I'd be happy to answer any questions you have :)

Just to cover basics, this mod doesn't apply directly apply to skyrim, it's only for writing KID distribution files that are used by the KID mod.
You'll need to download the ini-writer app (it's free but donations are appreciated) linked in the requirements and follow the install directions in the description from this mod page. Just make sure you're unzipping the folder and not just the individual files.

Afterwards you can launch the ini-writer app and create a new ini file to get started. The process should hopefully be very intuitive from there.

It really is an awesome tool and that update sounds like a must have gem! I'm new to AE and KID so I need to learn those basics a bit before I can really going, but thank you for your instructions and kindness, and I used it a little and it is very straight forward, nice job really. I think I'm am going to wait for that update while I am learning the KID system, still learning modding basics in the Skyrim CK. Thank you again and I may have some questions in the future after I learn more! These tools are so awesome, xEdit, WB, your writer and 4 extensions!

It's always fantastic to have more people joining the skyrim modding community so welcome and I hope you have a great time :)
If you're in need of learning resources I recommend the youtube channel Skyrim Scripting run by Mrowpurr, they have a multitude of modding tutorials that will set you up very nicely to start creating content.
Edit: I ironically stumbled upon another great guide for setting up your development environment just after posting so I thought I'd come back and mention it. Anna Garcia on yt with the mod authoring video.

I can't claim to know even a small percentage of all that Skyrim modding has to offer but I'm happy to help answer whatever I can.
I look forward to seeing what you create in the future and good luck!!

Thank you and I have been having fun making the few mods I have (mostly for Oblivion), I made things that I wanted to play and hopefully those in the community enjoy them also. Thank you for the channel recommendations, I always find it much easier when there is a guide that goes step by step, can;t get it wrong that way! Thank you again and hopefully I can also make some useful additions!

Hey Arcturus, first thank you for this wonderful tool! Po3 has recently updated KID and it has some more functionalities now. One that I know of is the ability to filter by Bodyslot (a Trait), such as below:

    Keyword = cursedArmor|Armor|MyArmorMod.esp|HEAVY,32

(Assuming I've written it the right way, then this means : distribute KYWD "cursedArmor" to every ARMO record in MyArmorMod.esp that is both HEAVY and using bodyslot 32)

While I can still manually edit the output afterwards to achieve the same effect, it would be awesome if that functionality (and others if I've missed any) can be added this way. Would you consider updating it?

    Thank you!

      Hey Lucius!
Thanks for reaching out, I don't really monitor the modding sphere closely so telling me about these updates is super helpful.
I'll go read that documentation and try to get an update out asap :)

      Edit: The update is released!!!
