Currently, I have a few ideas, but there is one idea that I kind of liked more than most of my other ones.
Basically, just add to a few new areas to the vanilla dungeons, in order to make them more open ended. One aspect of Oblivion I rather liked was the fact that there were plenty of places to explore on the way to your objective. With Skyrim it rather feels like going from point A to B.
Currently, there's only one mod I can think of that actually expands on vanilla dungeons, but it's only for Bleak Falls Barrow. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/74945/?
I think that when a modder makes a dungeon, they tend to go for a different layout depending on their preferences. So even if you decide to change Bleak Falls Barrow, it probably won't be the same as the above mod. But yeah, if you do decide to go with this idea, I have a decent idea for a starting point of the dungeon. Make the start of the dungeon at the end of Bleak Falls Barrow. I think it would be pretty mindblowing to have a hidden door behind a rock wall at what you think is the end of the dungeon. I think it would be even more mindblowing if there was another door that requires the Golden Claw to open it in the new dungeon.
If you do decide to go with this idea, I could probably give some tips on what may be interesting to include in the dungeon, but if you decide to just do your own thing with this idea, that's fine too.
But yeah, I think one nice aspect of this is you wouldn't necessarily have to create an entire dungeon, you would just have to add a few rooms to what would otherwise be dead end hallways.
Ähm... Im not a Pro in Modding, my Mini-Mods are only small changes in the Vanilla Game. Changing Weapon Abilities, Adding some Weapons, Armor and other Stuff that is already in the Game but you couldnt make it, like Silver Swords.
