I've noticed that the books placed in the shelves and bookcases immediately to the player's right and left as they enter the keep will often just fall unto the ground, I don't know what's causing it but I thought I'd mention it in hopes of a fix.
A weird inconsistency that maybe you'd want to fix, and maybe goes beyond the scope of the mod is a candle stick to the right of the stairs. It has no light bulb, but to the left of the stairs is a table with a light bulb but no source for it. (lightbulb meaning a CK placed light source)
Amazing mod! One issue though, i'm using the disenchantment font restored mod, and the font added by that mod clips with the bookshelf in Farengar's room, is there any chance you'll make a patch for this?
I totally understand it. Those mods are impressive but they create a bit of a patching headache and to me, always seemed to add things I didn't like but decided to tolerate rather than have no additions to the areas. But the way your mods are less "over done", and blend so well with the original look of the game, is just such a relief
I do have a semi-related question. Has anyone else noticed the very ugly texture underneath the dragon skull, right behind the Jarl's throne? It's right in the first screenshot.
I know it's not from this mod. But if anyone has a mod suggestion to overwrite that and make it look better, I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks! I'm not sure about that texture. I use Redbag's Dragonsreach which adds some carved eooden decorations right behind the throne, but I don't know if it changes the texture at all.
For some reason, the alchemy table is invisible. The only other mods I have that alter Dragonsreach are the two you say have built in compatibility and one that adds a small coffer/vault, but I don't see how that'd affect the table. When I get on tomorrow, I'll turn it off and see if that's what the issue is.
Very strange. Even though I've never encountered that vanilla bug, I'm going to assume that's what it was. All I did to the alchemy table was put a couple potions and ingredients on it, so there's no way it's my mod making it invisible.
As a person that mostly plays on console, I appreciate and use all your mods. Based on this mod, I'm confident that all your interiors will be amazing. It's a big undertaking but I enjoy your particular vision for Skyrim. Keep up the good work!
As always, I'm here to give my feedback! I'll start by saying that this looks like a wonderful work, and not the slightly intrusive like many other interior overhauls. The dining tables are amazing and the little touches in the kitchen fit very well; I love the addition of shelves and chairs, makes the palace feel more alive; I'm not very sure about the food table right at the entrance of the main hall, especially so close to the guard ahahah; the red drapes are bit odd: on one hand they decorate the palace, making it more noble and rich, but in my opinion the color red stands out too much with Whiterun's light wood and it's confusing since there are already yellow-ish drapes that fit far better with the location; also, red is the color of Solitude. Speaking of the Lux patch - which I personally use - I won't lie that I was hoping that your interior overhauls wouldn't need lighting patches, but I also knew it was basically impossible; the patch, at least on my end, seems to have a problem: the lighting is much brighter in the main hall and darker (like Lux is) in the war room. I can't wait to see more, the series has a lot of potential, that's for sure!
Thanks for all the feedback as usual! What is wrong with the food at the entrance? A bit of a snack for guests while they wait for the Jarl to see them? At least that was the idea haha. I understand what you mean about the red drapes. I think they look alright personally, and I did use the yellowish ones elsewhere in Dragonsreach. Maybe I will see about swapping them out, or providing an alternate file to swap them out. As for the light patch, unfortunately the way Skyrim is built it is basically required. The lighting being too bright was caused by my inability to upload the correct file twice in a row. It is fixed this time, I promise!
Ahahah no no, I like the idea of the food table, maybe it's just the position that seems odd: too close to the main gate, in front of a window and right beside the guard post XD That's just me nitpicking tho. Thank you for the drapes option! As I said they don't look bad, I just think there was a better option. Lux patch now is working, thank you! By the way, when you'll do the Blue Palace (can't wait for that ugly mess to be fixed), could you please make it compatible with Centered Blue Palace Throne? Or maybe fixing that problem on your own style? I usually don't like making requests, but that's pretty essential to me XD
I'll see about making an alternate file for yellow drapes instead of red ones for you! As for the Blue Palace, I will definitely be building compatibility for Centered Blue Palace Throne, I use that too, it is a must have haha!
Aaah that's wonderful! So much better in my opinion, thank you kindly :D Now I can't wait to see those red banners in Solitude ahahah Btw while testing some more the Lux patch I noticed that the lighting tone still changes a bit from going to the basement (where the Whispering Door is) upstairs. Not very noticeable, but I thought it was worth letting you know!
I'm not really sure what to tell you about the lighting. It isn't an issue with my patch, I have copied over the relevant data. I think lighting just changes a bit between certain places, perhaps Lux just makes it more noticeable. I'm most familiar with it doing that in Bleak Falls Barrow, going from the campfire with the bandits at the start, to down the stairs into the tomb, the lighting changes quite a bit.

Then again, why should I complain? You do good work. And frankly it's far less haphazard than what I did.
I may consider it, though.

Also thanks to TheBone98 for the feedback.
