   what does this patch exactly? will there be a game breaking bug if i do not use this?

      According to the description, this is a patch between two mods. It has nothing to do with the vanilla game.

      right i get that, but if i don't use this patch and i have both mods, what will happen? 
      
      i guess what i am trying to ask is that is this just a simple texture replacer or does this patch resolve conflicts between the two mods

      This patch makes the metal parts of the shield gold, like GDPR. That's all.
