Very nice, thanks! This is the fix that worked best for me, not sure how it would translate but now I also need something similar to this for Fallout 4
I couldn't notice a difference turning it on/off personally, but i recommend Reshade has AMD FidelityFX CAS Sharpening which makes a major difference at near 0 cost. W10 / 1080p, TAA, Nvidia 1650 super
Boris, the author of ENB is currently on a rampage because he thinks all these shaders are stolen from him. There are some weird af screenshots in the wild west of the internet of the ENB guy making threats of violence. It's some cringy s#*!
Actually, the first time was a modder on Nexus with a plugin(esp) mod by the same name as this one was named. Boris is another thing. And folks wonder why there are those who won't use ENB.
Oh, is this why the last update of ENB started having those absolutely cringe AF random blurbs in the top-left of the screen when booting the game? The first time I saw one of those I was like, "Wow, this guy has some real baggage to turn my game bootup sequence into a crusade."
like 90% of this comment thread should be interpreted and taken with a hefty grain of salt, as these comments are essentially just like those smear campaigns on small scale community political TV ad's. Posting hearsay is a way to make the world around us less intelligent, and saying "I thought I heard this" or "Someone told me this about so and so.." Just because someone told you something, does not mean it needs to be regurgitated the next time something in the same realm comes up in convo, unless first verified. Reading all of this is like an amalgamation and combination of beefs that many *individual* people have had with doodlez smashed into one, learn to sort your laundry before you throw it in the wash.
It's intriguing, and I share the sentiment with a comment I came across, that Bethesda's TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing) is the best, even by today's standards. Their TAA technology has been exceptional for a long time, evident in games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim from 2011, and later in Fallout 4. Their implementation of TAA results in very clear images where jaggies are almost unnoticeable. Moreover, some games like Red Dead Redemption 2 have super blurry TAA in comparison.
Furthermore, the visual presentation of their games, even in their original versions, is top-notch, holding up even today. This includes The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 4, and even older titles like Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. The scenery and landscapes in these games are incredibly atmospheric, even without installing any mods for landscapes or lighting.
Actually, even in 2024, I feel that Bethesda's original lighting in The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, although perhaps technically simpler, is the best in the world in terms of sensory experience.
Feel like it does more harm than good. The base implementation is already one of the best TAA implementations I've personally experienced and this mod just oversharpens it to the point of degraded image quality

For Skyrim SE/AE it could be too much
