*Random spawning Eye of Magnus bug patched in latest version v3.0.1, out now!* Just uninstall and reinstall the latest RealClouds.esp file and you're good to go.
Hey everyone, I'm not the Arthmoor or JaySerpa of modding. So if there are any bugs or compatibility patches (which won't be necessary for most LO's) that need to be made, feel free to post it in the bugs section to let me know, OR work on the file yourself and I'll upload it and credit your work! Must ask for permission first, I will respond to you!
To those wondering why there are 3 versions: Download the most recent file that's listed. I ran it more than once through CK, and CAO to ensure all textures and meshes were up-to-date. If I have missed anything or if the textures are out of date, then please feel free to run this mod again through Cathedral Assets Optimizer and CK, enjoy.
For those asking in the comments about permissions, YES! I received permissions by Soolie directly through STEAM (after requesting it) to upload and port his mod to SE on the Nexus. Soolie's post is in the media section.
All game/mod code, descriptions, rights, and credits belong to the original mod author Soolie and Bethesda Game Studios respectively, who made this mod over 10 years ago. I simply just ported it from Oldrim to Special Edition for those who didn't know how, or were too lazy to do it themselves. Endorse the mod and enjoy!
This can be turned into an ESPFE. The cell that's being modified is not an actual cell used in-game, more like a test cell, so if xEdit automatically throws off the CELL warning, you should just ignore it (in this case).
Has anyone actually figured out why the mod stops working after a while with some people? And is there a solution besides deleting the cloud layer script in resaver?
I am also curious about this. I converted this for personal use a couple years back, and noticed that the clouds would stop spawning after a full game restart. I had to do the exact same thing in Resaver, but would have to do this again for each game restart.
I noticed some people posting a papyrus error, and I'm wondering if the script that spawns clouds is silently failing. Might also be related to custom weathers from weather mods, but I really don't have an idea.
finally I've found out what was making my storm Lightning and glows purple! it is this mod with LightningSheet.dds and LightningGlowSheet.dds files. I suggest anyone having the same problem to desaturate those files completely: solved
I have been using this since about May of last year (2023) for my Skyrim VR and it has become a MUST HAVE for my load order!! While sometimes I can dip a little FPS if I am say in the reach area where it is covered in volumetric fog, the overall effect is totally worth it for the most scenic Skyrim I have ever seen in a VR headset. I wish I could endorse the mod a second time, it is that good.
In your installation instructions, you say, "Download and extract the files to Vortex/MO2". Are you saying that I can just use the mod manager download option, or that I should manually download and then drag the files into the mod manager?
I'm looking in Tesedit for some clue but I can't figure why are working with some weathers and others not.
I would like to add the mod to Scandinavian Seasons.
Thank you.
EDIT: Finally I'm using Real Clouds with Cathedral weathers and seasons that it's the best weather in visuals, colours and sunset and fix perfect with Real Clouds.
It's Buggy, glitchy, flickering, random Popins sometimes clouds are to high.. sometimes to low.. Some facing the wrong direction! But Great Visual Improvement When it actually works as intended.
The "Light Limit Fix" mod appears to have fixed some of the issues I just mentioned.
Visually stunning, jesus praise the lord, because fps was first time in my life negative. The image is 1/10 what it looks in the game, just amazeballs.
One of my favourites mods in VR. Works perfect with vanilla ID weathers like "Cathedral weathers". It's amazing when the sunset comes you can see the sunset textures of cathedral and the 3D clouds mixing like layers. It is true that sometimes there are some clippings in the layers but deserve it an oportunity for the realism and beatuful it is. 9/10
Why you sai that? I'm in VR and I'm using it. The problem here is that this mod is sometimes incompatible with weather mods like Nat III or similar. Works well with vanilla weathers and Climates of Tamriel weather but the new weathers maybe are not compatible because these weathers create a new weathers ID.

In VR it's a MUST HAVE. Even with his bugs or mistakes.
The mod is easy to install. Drag and drop in vortex and it's ok.
It's working with this: Haze Weathers 2
But NOT working with this: Scandinavian Seasons
