Do i need Skill Uncapper to block and hide legendary button? Edit: I don't if it's my interface mod but legendary button is hidden, but you can still get a skill legendary if you press space, so if you want to not be able use Skill Uncapper
What happens if i get to a level where everything is already at max, does the menu just don't appear anymore? Edit: No the menu still appears, show all your perks but you can only choose what stat to level not skills, perfect
Do i still need to patch other mods so i don't receive any XP on the skills? Edit: For Adamant at least i don't need, i don't get any XP on the skill even with Hand to Hand :)
AE (v1.6.640) users using Skyrim Skill Uncapper and the Default Uncapper Preset optional file from Static Skill Leveling Rewritten, will most likely get the following error messages:
SOLUTION: on Static Skill Leveling Rewritten's Default Uncapper Preset SkyrimUncapper.ini edit the following: From
[General] bUsePCLevelSkillExpMults = true
To
[General] bUsePCLevelSkillExpMults = false
Thanks once more for providing updates so often Kredje, really appreciated!
Sorry, i just use my config from 1.5.97 installation, didnt have any from ae version. Of course you can just edit generated uncapper.ini file manually.
Yep, already did as part of testing it. So only AE users need to make that change in SkyrimUncapper.ini. Will edit my post to make it clear. Thanks mate!
I wasn't sure at first, it came as an optional mod in Tuxborn. I like leveling skills by using them, I didn't want to lose that...but this is honestly better. I'm playing WAY more dynamically now, switching weapons and spells mid fight instead of just sniping from afar.
Yeah, you lose the nice skill level sound and progression, but it allows for a much better playstyle.
Hello anyone that can help, I play using a controller but when I go to level up it doesn't let me do anything and only lets me select stamina, is it a load order issue or am I missing a patch to help? Any tips or tricks are welcome
When you try to move across the options does it only select stamina then deselects if you try to move the analog again? I don't get any points either to apply, I know this works somehow I've seen people on YouTube with it working just not sure if it'll work with a controller
Gave the mod a spin. Found out that (1) 1.8 does not work mid-save. You need a fresh game file in order for the skill adjustment menu to show up; and (2) 1.6 does work mid-save with no problems.
That said, I'm running into issues trying to adjust the skilling values under 1.8. Haven't tried doing it under 1.6 yet, but if this keeps up I might revert to 1.6 instead as it seems to be the more stable release. I also haven't gotten very far in this game, so I'm hoping it won't stop working halfway through.
Steam deck here. 1.6 old file Works out the box with experience. Finally not lvl 30 before I finish the dark brotherhood.
Experience stop rapid leveling from riften pickpocket the guy in jail. This mod lets you go the fallout 3/nv way.
Now if I could get a mod that lets me use trainers only. Just to be clear use the 1.6 old file with experience so you don't be come God before finish a storyline
TO ANYONE WHO SEE'S THIS: Long story i got everything working but stats still wouldnt increase. After reading in the forums switching to version 1.6 (older file) has fix'd it, and it so far working, just cant edit/customize it as much in MCM.
This may sound strange but hear me out, is it possible to basically have this mod while also still gaining xp for skills by practicing them? I imagine you turn down xp gain for skills a lot, but not all the way, so while each level up you can increase your skills, you can also contribute to level ups by just doing the skill aswell?
I was trying to figure out this exact same thing and I think I just figured it out, by going into this mod's settings.ini and changing bDisableSkillLeveling from a 1 to a 0. Will find out if this breaks anything during the rest of my playthrough I guess. Also recommend going into the Skyrim Skill Uncapper's ini file and tweaking the SkillExpGainMults section to account for the extra amount of levels this mod will give you. I personally turned the vanilla XP gains for any combat/magic skills off and tuned down the multipliers for more "passive" skills like alchemy and enchanting.
I have Experience with Static Skill Leveling Rewritten installed and working correctly. (Thank you for the excellent mod!)
Problem: While playing Dac0da I noticed that my skill xp/levels were going up directly through combat, in addition to the points I was adding at levelup. Any ideas on what might cause this kind of quest-specific or world-space specific problem and how I might go about fixing it?
Was trying out this mod and noticed that my selected skill ups on level up were not saving/persisting. I tried a ton of stuff but this post from YouTube got my skills saving!
For people having this issue, there's two things you need to do:- First is making sure you have: Papyrus / powerofthree / Papyrus + powerofthree extender
Second is making sure you download the OLDER version (3.2.0) of Experience (in case you are using the mod) because the newest version changes the .Ini files and get incompatible with the skill mod (no problem in doing that even if you use the Nordic UI patch cuz the patch is to Experience 2.4+ and the older version is already beyond that so you won't have any problems)
NOTE 1: You NEED to do the adjustments SoftGaming shows in the video as well;
NOTE 2: This is how the mod works: first you select the skills you want to upgrade, then LEAVE THE SKILLS MENU, ENTER AGAIN, AND THEN THE SKILLS WILL UPDATE (don't forget this);
NOTE 3: Make sure to always save/load after making any changes in the MCM menus because Papyrus will work better.
This needs to be pinned. I spent a whole day trying to get this to work without any success but when i installed powerofthree's Papyrus Extender and downgraded the experience mod it all of sudden works without problem.
