Animation issues with MCO aside... these are Greatswords for some reason in my inventory, not battleaxes.
I've gone into SSEdit and the given weapon type is battleaxes but I am a bit confused here.
    EDIT:
I have no idea what I did other than open SSEdit, but they are now correctly battleaxes

The spears look great for integrating with base Skyrim.... but who plays base Skyrim? Is there a patch for like a "Simply Realistic Weapons" version to make them fit more with realistic looking/sized weapons?

Hello, thanks a lot for creating a 0 bloat only spears mod for Skyrim. I am however missing one single thing, a bound version. May I humbly request a bound spear addon?

Probaly Xdit(SSEEdit), Try give an weaptypegreatsword, should work, not 100% sure, or edit the OAR priority.

Can anyone confirm IF it would it be possible that I make those spears use the Anchor spear animations with keywords in xEdit?
I saw another mod used this way to get bow animations onto all bows in the game.

Love the looks, but hate the animation mod its supposed to work with tbh. Does anyone know how to get it to work with spear mechanic animation files isntead of the whimsical anime animation mod this comes with?

Probably going to have to fiddle with the animation conditions in spear meachnic mod.

The spear models are great. The recommended animation mod is not worth the effort. At least one of dependencies is really dated. I believe that is pre-AE. I appreciate the work that mod authors do, but I really don’t feel like rolling back to pre AE, nor do I want to go back to early AE.

I set up a new laptop a few weeks ago and was stuck with the latest update. I tried rolling back and had some issues. I’ve done it in the past, but I decided that I didn’t care enough to waste my time with more efforts to roll it back.

I’ve managed to successfully reinstall all but one of my favorite mods from my original 626 mod load order. I decided to stop installing mods around 400 on this new laptop.

I’m still testing the game, but the game seems to run a LOT better than before. It’s a better computer, but I think that the AE updates have improved the performance too. The only mod that I considered really important that I can’t use in the latest version of Skyrim AE is better jumping. Oh well.

Everything else that I considered critical has been updated already. I can do without fancy animation mods that require 10-15 mod slots to even work. If animation mod authors don’t want to deal with updating, I get it. But I’ll never use their mods. There are a LOT of people that play pre-AE. There are a lot of people that have moved on.

I personally LOVE a lot of the AE content. Some of the best house mods out there are AE only. Shadowfoot Sanctum and Myrwatch are worth AE alone. Fishing and Survival mechanics are must haves in my book. Pre-AE folks have NO idea what they are missing out on. Wild horses? Awesome. Crossbows? Yes, please.

Sorry, the animations look nice, but I’d rather leave spots in my load order for things like beyond Skyrim content. I’m fine swinging a spear like a battle axe. I’d prefer to use a spear like a spear, but I’m okay without it.

Just to inform you, only Dynamic Animation Replacer doesn't work with AE, and Open Animation Replacer, which works with AE, supports all DAR animation mods. Animation Motion Revolution and Payload Interpreter both work fine at least until 1.6.640.

Yes. I know. It doesn't support the latest few versions of ae. That was my point. I've rolled back in the past, but with the latest version, I had some issues. I ended up having to reimage my drive and start over. I wasn't able to fix the roll-back and couldn't even reinstall the software to fix it. After wasting a few hours, I decided to stick with the latest version and shut down the updates. I got a new computer and had to start over a few weeks ago. I downloaded the software a few days after the last update, so I was stuck. I was able to get everything that I wanted except these spear animations. Not a big deal. My load order is up to around 460 and I feel really good about my game. I used to have about 626 mods, but this setup is better and has a lot fewer mod slots. Loving it.  I still haven't loaded this mod yet. I'm probably going to wait until something else comes out to use spears.

Wow. Well, I was working on getting another mod up and running and I realized that I successfully loaded one of the hard requirements for the Spear animation mods and it loaded properly. I managed to get all of the requirements loaded and I actually got this working with version 1.6.1170 working. The hard requirements that say that they don't work with version 1.6.1170 work fine and the animations are amazing.

It appears I can't find the spears to craft in the forge... Can anyone tell me where it is in the menu?

Edit: I'm currently using a version of Anniversary edition that's a little outdated due to other mod requirements, could that be the issue? Plus, I'm searching for it in the game via the use of <help "spear" 4> as a command in the console and nothing related to the mod is appearing... Any assistance would be much appreciated.
