So... as somebody that has had to conquer some fairly severe phobias and has been involved in programs helping others conquer THEIR phobias, I have to tell you that you're really not doing yourself any favors, and frankly you're causing yourself so much more harm than you realize. Controlled exposure through video games where YOU can dictate every variable is the absolute safest way to use exposure therapy if you can't afford a therapist (as most of us can't) or don't have access to a local help program. Obviously if you can do either of those things you should, just from extensive experience I'm telling you that avoiding your phobia is only going to make things worse in the long term.
