Looks very nice, but I am not able to set camera pitch and yaw to 0.0000001. Pressing D on the keyboard does nothing, so I tried to go into TDM settings.ini and set it there. Doing that set those values for default settings but defaulting to them in the MCM menu just sets it to 0. I have triple checked the json and I did everything right, any tips?
EDIT: I found a way to fix it... by chance I stumbled upon TrueDirectionalMovement.ini inside of MCM\Settings folder so in addition to everything described in the manual I also changed the values inside that document.
Would a version be possible where it can be toggled with a key press? I'm thinking like Dragon Age Inquisition which had the isometric tactical camera in combat, but still had the option to play on the ground. Maybe a smooth cam preset toggleable by key? I'd like to use this just for outdoor combat.
I tried this on a whim and my god, if you're able to fix (some) interior issue that is present, I will definitely play the entire game this way! the combat feels so good, idk why but changing the perspective into isometric just make the combat feels a lot better! I hope the community will find a way to fix the interior issue, otherwise, great tutorial m8, endorsed!
Ran into a problem with ranged combat.With a staff, bow or spell. Even when locking on the target, the character looks at the floor when casting, and auto-aiming sends a spell
There have been some instances where "True Directional Movement" (which is the mod that enables lock-on) doesn't work properly due to some conflict. Try using this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/77843
I did not find a solution to the problem here, the target is captured normally. And the spell and arrows hit right on target (auto-aiming from TDM), but when I hold down a bow / spell / block shot, my character looks where the camera is (that is, on the floor, I have a top view, lol)P.S. staves don't hit at all(
I am no programmer, so I've trying to find a solution on a trial an error basis, but so far I was unable to replicate the error you're having. The only thing I can think of is that probably some other mod may be overriding TDM settings which, to solve, you'll prabably have to resort to testing conflicts with any mods you have.
Hey this is an amazing guide ! I'm trying this setup right now and I've been encountering an issue on step 15 : target lock would always put the camera behind the player even though I did everything seemingly correctly. I fixed it by going into my overwrite folder (MO2) and in MCM > Settings > TrueDirectionalMovement.ini, under [TargetLock], changed:
fTargetLockYawAdjustSpeed = 0.000000
fTargetLockPitchAdjustSpeed = 0.000000
into
fTargetLockYawAdjustSpeed = 0.0000001
fTargetLockPitchAdjustSpeed = 0.0000001
Basically just added 1 at the end of each value and now it works. I thought you may want to know this in case it happens to someone else. Thanks again for the great guide !

Thanks!
Edit: Updated into the guide. Credits given as well.
This is simply revolutionary.
Please.
The SoulCalibur gods demand it. <333
Só não consegui travar a câmera. Mesmo o arquivo opcional dando overwrite no 3DPCO. Fiz algo errado?

EDIT: I'm too dumb to read a sticky apparently...Thanks again for the great guide !
