These glaives were originally created for the mod Steeds of Ultima VR, as during development we realized that none of the vanilla weapons had enough reach to be effective when used from horseback in VR. During testing we found that these weapons were extremely fun to use in VR whether you were on horseback or on foot, so I decided to expand the arsenal to include the major weapon material types and publish it as a separate companion mod.

The glaives are two handed, bladed weapons, with about one and a half times the reach of a standard great sword.
Even though the glaives were made for use in VR, they are compatible with flat screen Skyrim as well.
All weapons were created by combining various vanilla mesh assets. This ensures that the glaives stay true to the vanilla weapon designs and, since they use vanilla texture paths, any vanilla weapons retexture will apply to the glaives as well. I used LeanWolf's Better Shaped Weapons as the base for most of my creations.

Version 1.0:
All glaives are craft able and can be tempered.
The required crafting and tempering materials are the same as the vanilla great sword equivalents, but quantities have been slightly adjusted.
Damage is the same as their great sword counterparts, but the glaives have the advantage of greater reach.
The glaives make use of the great sword animations.
The V1.0 Animated Armory patch has the glaives make use of the pike animations.

I have placed three glaives in the world space for you to collect and use without having to craft them.
An iron glaive can be found in Embershard Mine, in the locked "vault", and a steel glaive is available at White River Watch at the top exit of the cave, just before the boss encounter.
A unique glaive has also been added into the world space. It can not be crafted, it is unique and not featured in the screenshots. You'll find a clue in the Sleeping Giant Inn for where to get it, happy hunting ;)

Version 2.0:
With V1.0 my focus was mainly on creating the physical assets and these remain unchanged in V2.0.
In V2.0 I have focused on better world integration and balance.

Two variants of each glaive has been added, two handed (2H) and one handed (1H).
The one handed glaives are intended for use in VR where all two handed weapons are equipped to only the right hand anyway. This way you can level up your one handed skill as well as use shields, spells and other weapons in your other hand. You can also equip the one handed glaive in either your right or left hand.
One handed glaives do the same damage as their long sword equivalent, but they have greater reach.
The one handed glaives are completely functional in flatscreen, should you do wish to use them.
One handed glaives make use of one hand sword animations.

The two handed glaives now do more damage than their long sword equivalent but less than their great sword equivalent, damage is right in the middle between the two vanilla weapon equivalents. The glaives do make up for the reduced damage with increased reach.
In flatscreen (SE/AE) the two handed glaives now make use of the great axe animations and are compatible out of the box with Glaive Master Animations SE. You can also make use of the new V2.0 patch for Animated Armory to have the glaives make use of the halbert animations included with Animated Armory (Please note: Only the V2.0 Animated Armory patch is compatible with V2.0 of Glaive Danger).

Only the two handed glaives have been integrated into the Bandit Leveled List, Draugr Leveled List (only the Draugr Glaive) as well as the Black Smith Leveled List. Some bandits as well as Draugr will now be armed with glaives and glaives will be available for purchase at blacksmiths. Leveled List integration is similar to the great sword equivalents, but with a smaller chance for glaives to be equipped by NPC's, so not every second bandit and Draugr will be armed with a glaive, this way they remain relatively scarce.

In V2.0 I have removed the iron and steel glaives placed by hand in the world as you will now be able to find them via Leveled List integration. The unique glaive remains, though.

Compatibility:
PLEASE NOTE: If you are upgrading from V1.0 you will need to start a new game. Unfortunately I had to compact the form ID's to make the plugin ESL, so it is not possible to upgrade mid save.

Animated Armoury
animations can be added by installing the patch in the optional files section.

Load order for the patch plugin:
