I love this mod. I have a glowing effect version. But I have a strange problem. Gloving is visible just from certain points of Solstheim. On a lot of places there is no glow, just smoke comes out of a volcano.
Heya! It looks great and I get no flicker but unfortunately it no longer lines up with the volcano. Stand on the wall in raven rock to see what I mean. Did everyone see the flicker? Could it have been people using mist or fog mods that overlapped your cone?
Would an enb light floating within the base of the cone produce the same effect of glowing (for enb users)? It wouldn't z fight if it was a light.
I love the idea so much, I will try and make it an enb light on your old mesh and see what that does.
Sorry about that! I had to go to sleep :) Let's see if this works. It DOES look great, super menacing and mean! Until the sun came up and then I got a chuckle.
For the record, I'm using enhanced rocks and mountains. It edits mountain meshes like MM, but I don't think it edits the volcano. I only show a conflict with dyndolod when I use this mod. Let me try disabling it, and I'll edit this with the results.
Ah! Ok. No, the mesh wasn't in the wrong location before I installed the HD mesh. I'll try a different flavor in the fomod. Also unloading worldspace transitions. it shouldn't be the problem, but it was mentioned before by another poster.
Update: The mesh is properly placed as seen from atop the College of Winterhold.
as an update: It is only out of position when seen from DLC2 worldspace. it looks fine everywhere else. Nothing is overriding it according to MO2, so I really don't know whats going on because I am not sure how this is even possible!
Early in a new LO build I had the same issue. For me it was World Space Transitions that caused the same issue as seen in the link with plume off to the right of the volcano opening. Turing off WST solved the problem for me.
about compativbility with Dyndo 3. I installed Rudy's mod and let it overwrite the mod 3D plume DYNDOlod. Result: I can see the plume from various places in Skyrim still as from 3d plume Dyndolod mod. It has the red glow as intended by Rudy's mod. In my opinion its look very good. I dont know what happens when rerunning DYNDO3. I might just deactivate Rudys mod when i need to rerun Dyndo3. And then after completion reactivate Rudy's mod. Just sharing my experience here.
+1 Wondering the same. I will have to eventually re-run Dyndolod (and spend hours patching the file again) so I'd like to make sure I absolutely understand what I need to do, if anything, to make sure it turns out like it's supposed to. Great mod by the looks, super excited to replace vanilla's Red Mountain, not that it's horrible but this is a 100% improvement. Simply glorious.
The plume is visible from Skyrim, but the mountain is not, I'm using the other mod that makes it visible from Skyrim, from the description. What happens?

hmm... I don't see anything unusual

Oops the volcano dropped something!
with dyndolod unchecked, since i had it checked still. You can see where I am, just on top of the Raven Rock wall. Nothing is overwriting it, so I am stumped.
cancel that, I can't go double check because i replaced it with the new version. I would be happy to go check if you unarchived it though :)

I have mods that let me see it from whiterun and even farther.

Did you rerun dyndolod in the meanwhile? And with which results/method?
