This patch hub has expanded to include a number of little patches, from using my SPID patches for Guard Armor Replacer & Sons of Skyrim together (for extra diversity and immersion) to extra crafting categories for Constructible Object Custom Keyword System which affects (or will affect) most of my patches.
If you have any requests or suggestions, please don't hesitate to drop a comment. If you run into any issues, please open up a bug report.
Unfortunately yeah it's related to the naked NPC bug - not clear if SPID is the root cause, but the SPID force-equip does appear to trigger the behaviour. SPID 7.0.0+ removed the force-equip, but it does also mean distribution is much less consistent.
Feature request: For the Legion armor patches, can we have the option to allow a percentage of Vanilla armor to still populate like we can with the guards/sons of skyrim patch? Thanks, love your work!
I can look at adding it as a default option, but in the meantime this should do the trick for you-
File: rmb_0_nordwarua_legion_shared_DISTR.ini
Modify all lines with the following to have a percentage: Keyword = isNWLegionCandidate|
The below should do the trick: Keyword = isNWLegionCandidate|-isSkipGlobal,outfitImperialLight,outfitImperialHeavy,outfitImperialStudded,outfitImperialLightMixed|||||2 Keyword = isNWLegionCandidate|-isSkipGlobal,outfitPenitus,outfitImperialWhiterunSiege,outfitImperialJusticiar,outfitImperialArcher|||||2 Keyword = isNWLegionCandidate|-isSkipGlobal,outfitImperialGuardArcher,outfitImperialGuardMeleeLight,outfitImperialGuardMeleeHeavy|||||2 Keyword = isNWLegionCandidate|-isSkipGlobal,outfitImperialHeavyOfficer,outfitImperial|||||2
If we want specific outfits from SOS used in specific holds and vise versa, what's the best way to do this? Change the 80 to 100 on the holds we want SOS for and change it 0 or NONE/comment out for holds we want GAR?
Yep, that's right! Mind that if you are using the latest version of SPID (the release candidates), then you will need to use resetinventory on Guards to accurately reflect any changes if you've visited the hold in that save.
Would it be possible for you to add an option to have the new imperial armor along with the old vanilla ones? Unless there is an option I am unaware of.
You can adjust the distribution of the keyword "isNWLegionCandidate" in file "rmb_0_nordwarua_legion_shared_DISTR.ini" by adding |||||85 to the end of each line for example, to achieve a 15% chance of vanilla armour.
Did you release an update for all the Legion mods NordWar made? I thought in one of your RMB mod pages you mentioned it, but your description here doesn't say.
Hi, I'm not sure if this is an issue with my load order, but is there any reason why the SPID mods would cause corpses to essentially dupe armor every time I load a save? I'm using pretty much all the compatible armor sets covered by the misc patch including the combined SOS armor and all the individual corresponding SPID mods.
You might want to report this to the SPID devs - that'll be due to SPID itself. SPID applies outfits every time you load a save (or restart your game and load a save, the logic has changed a few times and I'm not up to date on the latest behaviour). So if they aren't preventing distribution to dead NPCs, SPID will re-apply to them too.
Gotcha, appreciate the info. The only reason I suspected one of your SPID integrations was that I had previously been using other SPID armor sets and had not run into this issue until installing the Nordwar SPIDified mods.
If we get all the variants from 1.5 and 2.0 of SoS as well as GAR (looking at the Xtudo patches too), is each faction supposed to have a heavy and light armor variant? I'm realizing that Falkreath may not have a heavy armor set unless I'm looking poorly.
Hey! So if you use GAR, Falkreath will also have a heavy set! In fact, the combo you mentioned should result in a light and heavy set available for each holding.
Hmm, I am using both, but I'm not seeing any heavy armor sets being distributed. Any ideas why? Unless I got bad RNG. I'm also using Xtudo's combined sets just so you know.
Hmm, that is odd. Light sets have a 40% chance of distribution, otherwise the heavy sets are distributed. There was an issue fixed in RMB SPID SoS 5.0.3 wherein heavy sets were only ever distributed due to their order of entry being flipped. However, I'm seeing both light and heavy sets.
You could try messing with the percentages to see if it is indeed poor RNG?
I personally use the second RKF choice, which has (Authors Choice) after it. If I recall correctly it forces SoS in cities, and 80% GAR outside of them.
I'm looking at your esps and I don't even see a heavy Falkreath armor set in either your GAR plugin replacer or RMB esp. What am I missing?
EDIT: My apologies RMB, I didn't see "reinforced." Also I reinstalled the mod and chose the 80/20 and 20/80 percentages and that cleaned it up. I'm seeing them now.
I am curious if the "northern gauntlets and boots" are distributed to other holds. It's a generic name when other holds have "Winterhold x"
Hi, I'm really happy to finally have found a mod that lets me use all 3 of the Legion mods, thanks! :D
I was just wondering, would it be at all possible to make a patch with this mod?: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/83971
It gives different unit types and ranks to both sides, including battle mages and officers.
I just tested having it with its (pre-update only) SoS and NL patches and your Legion mods (not your RMB SoS, as I was unsure how to work with the new SoS update) with the 3 in skyrim and only AL in Bruma and the opening seemed ok, just that Hadvar and the officer lady wore their vanilla chestplates with NL the rest. I only saw the archers wearing NL leather and the carriage drivers wore the AL leather, but that might just be the small pool of troops. Maybe the patch just leaves NL as a replacer, so as to work with other mods?
It would probably be tedious to do, but I was just thinking it would be really cool to merge things, oh and also (if possible) this imperial battlemage armor to the battle mages: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67763
As it happens, that mod is supported/compatible out of the box! Please let me know if it isn't behaving as expected.
Regarding Hadvar and the sort: that issue is due to a known problem with them not getting the right keywords/distribution - I will eventually get around to fixing it! :)
I will defo add that to my todo list, though it will likely will be far off as I've got quite the backlog.
Hey! So I'm not quite sure what the ask here is, but I'm assuming you mean some sort of option to include or exclude assignments on a hold-by-hold basis?
The configs are documented and should be fairly straightforward to edit, so you can pick whichever you want to use as a base and then tweak further. If you don't want a specific hold to receive certain sets, you can remove those lines from the configs - or comment them out.
For example, if you want Solitude to use SoS Armours and none of the GAR sets, you can increase the chance of isOutfitSoS being distributed to 100%, and then remove the line for GAR keyword distribution.
If you have a specific need and any questions around it please feel free to ask!

Otherwise, hope you enjoy!
Could you please check if distribution for that list is ok?
SPID 6.8.2 and older has an issue that results in NPCs spawning naked for some users.
...is it SPID acting weird again?
Edit: Nevermind, I scrolled down.

You can actually use a mix of all three (Heavy, New and Authentic) or any combination of them.
I'll update the description!

In any case, thanks for these awesome mods!
