About this mod

In a world of superstitious fools, and as silly as it sounds, blaming an innocent rabbit for bloody criminal executions might be a viable option. Or could it be that behind those round little eyes is a serial killer?

"In a world of superstitious fools, and as silly as it sounds, blaming an innocent rabbit for bloody criminal executions might be a viable option. Or could it be that behind those round little eyes is a serial killer?

Legends of cruel and bloodthirsty rabbits, who hide their machiavellian personalities behind their cute little appearances, have populated the myths of ignorant people for ages. It borders on the silly that people can discard victims of massacres in caves that function as a scene made to incriminate a small domestic rabbit strategically placed there to instill belief in this sort of silly legend, and to not raise suspicions about the real criminals. It's worrying that this works, and it's also worrying that the same people who believe on this are also responsible for educating the next generations.

There is no documented evidence of killer rabbits going into a bloodthirsty frenzy and decimating legions. What there is is the encounter of dens full of disemboweled victims and bloodied bones, with a small rabbit bouncing idly among them. Yes, he's usually covered in blood, but who wouldn't be covered in blood living in an open-air grave of mutilated victims?

However, in Tamriel, anything can happen, and there may be sinister things behind this story, which escape common sense. Perhaps all those who actually witnessed a rabbit in murderous rage and bloodlust never lived to tell the tale... Anyway, of course not, all that would be pathetic... or wouldn't it?"

Technical info: Just a little funny mod made by me to the community this easter, the mod adds "The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog" from the 1975's "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" movie, which I'm a huge fan of. The mod adds the "Cave of Caerbannog" to the Skyrim tundra, between "North Brittleshin Pass" and "Sleeping Tree Camp". It's an open cave, covered in bloodied and mutilated bodies and bones. In the middle there is a small albino rabbit, innocent and covered in blood, who hops carelessly among the corpses. There is a little action provided if you kill him, but don't expect too much, just something to leave his origin and nature open to discussion. I didn't want to make an exact adaptation of what the creature was in the film, so I tried to leave its presence in an ambiguous way, and open to personal interpretations of each one.
 Don't take the mod too seriously, as like other Skyrim vanilla easter eggs, this easter egg mod is just a fun homage and reference, immersively inserted of course, and without disrespecting any kind of lore.

Additional information and curiosities:

Video of the original "Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog"
in the 1975 film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail":

Did you know that the creature's very appearance in the film
was inspired by medieval legends that depicted bloodthirsty
killer rabbits? More information at the following link:

(some of the many medieval paintings depicting ruthless bloodthirsty rabbits)

- 1 new creature: The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog;

- 1 new location: Cave of Caerbannog

(OBS- If by chance when installing several of Mihail's mods at the same time you are asked about files overwriting those of other Mihail mods or other authors mods, don't worry because they are just the same files shared between mods. I recommend that on these occasions always give preference to the files contained in my mods, and among mine always give preference to the mod you are installing last.)

The Easter Eggs series aims to bring to the world of Skyrim fun (or not) easter eggs from the franchise itself, as well as from other game franchises, books, movies, and even cultural references, always in an immersive and zealous way.
