Hi I just downloaded this last night
    I absolutely love it

so I’m using better vampires and the bv patch
I’m getting the ability when I  become a vampire
but when I get cured (via the reset vampirism ) the ability still stays with me
also becoming a werewolf , the ability remains
is there a way to fix this ?

      Fixed the issue in v1.2.
Please download the new versions of Auto Add Power and Auto Add Power - Better Vampires Patch.
You will have to re-infect/cure yourself to see the change take effect.

Also, thank you and I'm glad you like the mod!

I wasn't able to get the spell via console so this spell tome addition saved me, plus permanent toggle nice! Thank you very much.

Regarding the vampire edit version, can't it be changed to automatically gain this skill when becoming a vampire?

Good idea, I've got it working partially. It requires a new script to run, check the player's vampire status, and then add or remove the power (adding the ability (passive effect) directly seems to cause issues and I'd prefer people still have the option to activate/deactivate.

There are also a couple ways the player can be infected and cured so those all have to be accounted for...
As long as I can get everything to work smoothly, I'll update the Vampire Edit optional file with the scripts once it's complete.

      Thanks for the input

I didn't expect that it would actually require editing the PlayerVampireQuestScript, so I thought maybe unlocking the ability through a certain perk in the vampire lord skill tree might be a more feasible approach. As an added bonus, this could also explain why you are the only vampire with this ability.

That could work, though it would also likely introduce incompatibilities, at least with any mods that alter the vampire perk tree. I've never created a mod that changes the perk tree but it's definitely possible.
If someone were interested in really expanding upon the idea, they could add the perk to the perk tree and make the ability useable by all vampire lords (assuming vampire lords having access to such perks is canon). It would be cool to see powerful non-player vampires using the mist form doge in combat.

Relatively speaking, modifying the impact of a single perk would definitely be much smaller, and most mods that modify the vampire lord perk tree don't actually change the original perks much. For example, with perks like Mist Form, at most they would only modify the cooldown time and description, which wouldn't cause any major issues even if overwritten. On the other hand, PlayerVampireQuestScript would cause serious conflicts with almost all vampire mods, and mods like RaceCompatibility would require additional patches. Moreover, if a mod gets updated, the patch might become invalid, so it's best to avoid it under normal circumstances

I appreciate the suggestions. You are right about it being more compatible to add/edit a single perk and it was surprisingly easy to make a version that does just that. The Mist Form perk was already quite similar to the functionality of the Mist Raven dodge so I added a second rank which gives the player the Mist Form power.

Thanks for consistently updating this mod and listening to us users, I for one really appreciates that.
That being said, is it possible for the script to be compatible with Sacrosanct? (yes i did read the updated description)

Thank you. Regarding Sacrosanct, I looked into making a patch but unlike Better Vampires, the mod download doesn't contain the source scripts and the tool I used wasn't decompiling them properly. So unless I can find a way see the source script for the PlayerVampireQuest in Sacrosanct, I am not sure I can patch it.

I'm not able to get the mod to work with this toggle patch installed. When I use the Formless Mist power nothing happens. Tried uninstalling the toggle patch, and the mod (original) worked again..

Try using the new version with the updated folder structure. I am not sure what the issue is, both patch versions work on my end for existing and new save games.
Make sure the mods were installed properly and that the patch is loaded after the original Mist Raven mod. If you still have the issue, please create a bug report.

Thanks a lot for this. One question though, would you consider adding the spelltome in a slightly more.. dark/vampiric place? Preferably somewhere the character will go. I was first thinking of something like Castle Volkihar, but there are other options. Shrine of Boethiah, Movarth's Lair etc. Just a suggestion

I added it to the trader because I figured it should be obtainable early and without having quest prerequisites for people looking to have a build/character with the innate ability.
If it's something people are interested in, I might create an optional file to move the book somewhere like you suggested and update the tome model to something darker/creepier. If you'd prefer to do it yourself, you could easily add a record in SSEEDIT to place the tome in whichever location you like and change the tome nif to another model.

Thanks for the idea, I agree it fits a dark and vampiric character build and would fit best in such a location

Fair enough, uploaded an optional file that should make getting the tome feel more immersive/vampiric

I love you for this. I just came back to Skyrim (again) and hadn't installed Formless Mist Raven because I didn't feel like remembering how to do the edits. This saves me the hassle.

Glad I could help :). I had been looking for a Ciri-esque dodge mod/animation and Formless Mist Raven is pretty close and a really cool animation regardless, but like others who use the mod, I'd rather not have to cast the spell repeatedly so I figured a small edit would be helpful.
