Is there a way to brighten, the dark areas a bit? Areas without light sources are too dark for me.

Pretty sure that's the intent. The curves setting likely making the biggest difference. But more critically, will depend on what weather mod you are using if any.

Make sure to make the changes it recommends in the description as well.

Go to the mod page and read the description as you should do with every mod.

finally a reshade that isnt just +800% contrast. Nicely done and thank you. Only issue was the high DOF blur which gives me a headache, but i just turned it down. (I'm using Cathedral Weathers)

What setting is this?  Im running this as well and I don't like the blurry distant stuff.  Would like it to be sharper

Pretty sure it's Marty McFly's DOF or something like that. Should be easy to find in the Reshade menu in-game (home by default). It will be one of the active effects. (PS you should watch a reshade tutorial before using it so you know this stuff)

For those who find this too dark just change the brightness by pressing esc going to system -> settings -> Display then changing the brightness.

Damn, with this preset plus all the recommended mods and other 4k texture/parallax re-pacer mods, my skyrim looks like some UE5 game that just came out this recently lol. Upscaler (DLAA) managed to push frames back up to 60-70 fortunately.

Outside looks fantastic but interiors are too bright. Does anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it? I am not sure how to follow the directions from the vanilla HDR mod. It isn't clear enough.

Downloaded this mod and it fixed my bright interiors! :) Works amazingly well with this mod also!
