Update 1.01 is out: Fixes black version not installing properly for some users and missing mipmaps on half res version (will fix textures looking very noisy when viewed from a distance).
I had intended to fix the "missing parts" of the textures that are causing issues when using other mods that use vanilla texture paths, but it turned out to be a lot more complicated than I anticipated. So I pushed the quick mipmap and fomod fix for now and will work on the missing parts/increasing compatibility in a future update
The latest mod in this series is out! Thank you all for the support! Please let me know what you would like to see next! I am currently thinking the next big project will be glass and the next small one will be Silver or Leather
I'd love to see screenshots of my retextures in your game! Feel free to add any screenshots on the images page! If you like my work, please consider leaving a tip on ko-fi or becoming a Patron!
I know it might be asking too much, but would you be willing to also retexture the armor of the wights that appear in the Anniversary quest The Cause? Those zombies are supposed to be ayleids, so a consistency texture similar to what you did with the draugr and the Acient Nord set would be super cool! Their armor appears to be elven...
I would say I am 75% sure I want to retexture them, but am still trying to figure out as part of which retexture it would make the most sense. I already have plans to update the elven retexture so maybe I will include it here? Not sure yet
Using the vanilla-esque version, and it always looks far more dull on my end than it does in the screenshots - not sure what I'm doing wrong. Always has nearly no shine to it at all. The env map is technically there, but I really have to look for it. Tried the Cathedral mod (massive compatibility nightmare with all my other stuff) and it was still just as dull looking. Very strange.
my only complainant in all of your Retextures would be the fake shadows, as that would cause problems with mashups and mesh edits (example you move a bag to a different spot on the Armor and now there's a black blob were the bag use to be.
The vanilla textures do this to an extent, but as their colors are more washed out and desaturated it is less noticeable. I think most texture mods assume you will be using ENB or Reshade that is overall brighter than the base game which balances out with darker textures.
I released an Elven armor mesh overhaul, it primarily changes the neck area. I hope you find the time to make a texture for it. Thank you for your contributions.
The mod you linked is an elven armor Retexture. So it conflicts in the sense that it does the same thing as my mod. You need to choose one or the other. At least for the vanilla elven set. You could always install just my cc elven hunter Retexture
I don't wanna bother you, but it would be really dope if you could make a patch for Truly light Elven armor. The main problem is that the pre-painted shadows on some armor parts (i guess that is to give a depth feeling) are missplaced for that mod meshes, so we get some darker zones.

Anyway, thanks for your incredible job!
