    Version 6.1.11 Changes =
Changes were randomly tested! PLEASE REPORT BUGS!!!

Moved Armor Invisibility Patch Feature to a spell. [Pack 01]
The feature requires SPID in order to avert having to open the VLrn MCM, whenever you relaunch the game
Added a UBE armor patch (23) for Harkon as he would use the UBE armor in VL form. [Pack 01]

    Various FOMOD revisions

    Version 6.1.1 Changes =

Added feature that adds appropriate races to VLrn armor addons.(resolves armor invisibility issues) [Pack 01]
The above feature requires you to open and close the VLrn MCM at least once while not in VL form.
Updated Immortal Blood - Vampire Overhaul Patch [Pack 01]

    Various FOMOD revisions

    Version 6.1.03 Changes =

Added Patch for Unique Player 3.0 (Only for HVL Player) [Pack 01]
Updated Kyubi Race Patch [Pack 01]
    Updated
Racial Skin Variance - SPID Patch [Pack 01]
    Added
A Makeover for Lord Harkon and Lady Valerica Patch [Pack 02]
    Various FOMOD revisions

    Version 6.1.02 Changes =

Added a new feature to the MCM {Add or Remove equipped power to Vampire Lord Spell Menu} [Pack 01]
Revised MCM scripts to remove unnecessary properties and optimize functions [Pack 01]
Most options will now be saved and imported on a New clean save [Pack 01]
Resolved Issues where NPC's would not lose their wings or armor after reverting Vampire Lord form [Pack 01]

General Follower Framework Issues (Humanoid Vampire Lord)

If you run into a situation where Serana cannot revert back to a human.
Open the console and select Serana.
Type " setrace vlrnnordseranarace " and hit enter.
This should revert her back and resolve the issue.

If you run into a situation where Valerica cannot revert back to a human.
Open the console and select Valerica.
Type " setrace vlrnnordvalericarace " and hit enter.
This should revert her back and resolve the issue.

Most follower frameworks refresh's the Vampire Lord NPC's under certain conditions (cell load,....)
Their wings may disappear due to this.
If you have the activation patch, then you may simply talk to them and their wings may come back.
(Sometimes you have to revert form and retransform)
If you don't have the activation patch, then you will need to revert form and talk to them.
(This will revert them back to human form and once you transform again the issue should be resolved)

How to exclude NPC's from Racial Skin Variance:

Note that you need to select a Racial Skin Variance option in VLrn Pack 01 if you have it installed, unless the option doesn't appear for you.

    Affected NPC's:

    DLC1Harkon
    DLC1Serana
    DLC1Valerica
    DLC1HarkonCombat
    DLC1HarkonCombatMagic
    DLC1HarkonCombatMelee
    -----------------------------------------------------
Open the RSV_DISTR.ini in VLrn Pack 01 and add the relevant NPC's to the following line:

    Keyword = RSVignore|NONE|BretonRaceChildVampire

Example: If you want to exclude Serana only:

    Keyword = RSVignore|NONE|BretonRaceChildVampire,DLC1Serana

Example: If you want to exclude Serana and Valerica:

    Keyword = RSVignore|NONE|BretonRaceChildVampire,DLC1Serana,DLC1Valerica

Note that if an RSV texture was already applied on a save, you may only see changes by changing your location(Cell).

Quick minor question. Is there anyway for the female player character to use female animations for walking/running when grounded and sheathed?

this mod is great by the way. You did an amazing job!

My mod uses the human skeleton and the human body meshes, so if someone were to convert animations to support the Vampire Lord race, then that may be possible.

The only existing custom animations are built for the Vanilla monster form and HVL.

You can have a look at these animations: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/66696

actually, the HVL Bats Power Fix that you linked to in your install instructions also has another optional file for female anims in VL form using Dynamic Animation Replacer (DAR).  Might want to add that as an option for other users.  I just tried it and it works :)

also, you dont have to use the specific female anims that come with it, you can swap out different anims into the same folder if you wish.

    Hello,

i noticed 'Dylbills Papyrus Functions' was added to deps, i want to know the the lowest version needed by the newer version of vlrn, as db's mod works not that good in my modlist (random ctds after i tried to update it to 7.x, 8.x ...), i had to switch back to 6.6 for stable gameplay, is 6.6 capable for vrln to function well? thanks!

You will need version 8.9. The need for the mod, is specifically for the armor addon functions added in version 8.9. Without it, certain armors may become invisible depending on your race.

I kept pack 01 6.1.03 and the update 6.1.03a specifically for the ctd problem. They don't require Dylbills Papyrus Functions. If you do downgrade, then follow the instructions in some comments down below on how to clean your save, or you may experience bugs.

I cannot seem to get this mod to work for the life of me. I'm using the GTS collection but even turning off all of the vampire lord stuff doesn't some to work. I just end up with a big blue untextured VL.
Any pointers in the right direction would be immensely appreciated.

Do you want to use the Vanilla Vampire lord form?

If so, you will need to configure the VLrn mcm options as FrogMan72 said.

Set the appropriate form in the relevant section.

Set your vanilla Vampire lord armor options in the features section and that should now give your vampire lord, armor.

If you want to use HVL features, then ensure that you downloaded all the relevant requirements, the appropriate update file and main file. Then install the files and sort your load order according to the installation instructions on the description page. Launch skyrim and configure the mcm.

If you are still facing an issue, its likely an installation issue or mod conflict.

I'm trying to use the humanoid form.
Though after extensive testing it seems to be a mod conflict though I am unsure of what mod is causing it since I disabled all the vampire mods to test.

      Thank you for the insight

Wow.. just wow. This is the best Vampire Lord mod I never thought I needed. It fixes and replaces unwanted bugs that are caused with the Vampire Lord form plus adds Humanoid Vampire Lords as optional. Meaning if you still want your or any other vampire or Serana to use the vanilla form you can with all the features. Absolutely no excuse to not use this. Has a ton of patches too. Thankyou so much for making Vampy fun even more fun and immersive!

After installing and activating your mod, CTD occurs on the main screen. Crash logs show 5E1F22, which I understand happens when there is no master plug-in. All the leading modes are installed and this only happens in that mode.
I'm not good at English, so I'm using a translator. I'm sorry if it was hard for you to understand.

Did your mod manager tell you, what master files you were missing?

If you are using MO2, then there is a warning icon that you can click on and it will display the master file that is missing.

There are different required mods depending on your choices in the fomod, so I can't tell you what you are missing.

It's possible that you have a newer version of a mod, that renamed it's plugin and has made my patch incompatible.

If you aren't on game version 1.6.1130 or later, then you might require this mod:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106441

If you don't need the above linked mod or already have it, then I don't think I can help, because I haven't encountered a ctd on the main screen unless a master was missing or the above mod wasn't installed on a old skyrim version.

Sorry to bother you so many times. I checked that the mod works, but Serana's face becomes the "potato face". I'm using the "moologogi" replacer, and I confirmed it's compatible during the mod installation. Valerica hasn't confirmed it yet, but it's expected to be the same symptom. What should I do?

What does it say when you toggle debug info to messagebox in the debug section of the vlrn mcm?

The wings only work for the player if you toggled HVL for the player in the mcm. The AWU wings require the AWU main mod in order to load the AWU wings. Check that you have all the requirements installed.

Tell me if the wings are in your inventory when transformed and are just invisible?.

I did all the video said to create my patch for Kurone's Serana replacer (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/143952). Everything is good, face, hair, armor... except for her face color. She has a brown-red face color when turns into vampire lord.

Did you install face Discoloration Fix, that matches your skyrim version?

It forces the skin tone onto the face. If your body skin tone is correct, then that means you have a face Discoloration Fix issue.

if you don't want any of the wing options in the mcm, then you can disable the wings in the mcm and equip your preferred wings as an armor. This can also work for NPCs if you can add the armor to them.

Disabling the wings in the mcm, will stop the mod from adding the specific wing armor to your character when you transform.

The mcm wings can be replaced while in Vampire Lord form. Check the videos to see how it works.

They are static if you don't use the Vanilla Vampire lord animations. Disable any HVL based animations and your wings won't be static. The only wing options in the mcm of type VVL is Vampire lord remade and Vampire Lord Overhaul. You will need VLO if you want the wings to use the correct textures.

Note the wings are only for the HVL form, they are disabled on the VVL form.

    Hello,

I'm trying to add this mod to my LoreTrim modlist, and after quite a lot of messing around I suceeded in getting the humanoid VL form to almost work, but I can't get the wings to appear not matter what I do. Vampire Lord Wings Remade are in the modlist, I tried with that, I tried with adding vampire lord overhaul, I tried with nothing and my VL just doesn't get wings no matter what I do.

Is there anything that come to mind that I should check in priority ?

If debug info to messagebox displays the wings as enabled and displays the correct wings, then your issue is likely a requirement issue.

If it doesn't display any wings and is disabled even when it is toggled on, then its also a requirement issue.

If the mcm doesn't work then it's a save issue caused by incorrect installation.

You also need to enable HVL form for the player, in order to enable the wings.

The Vanilla wings work with just pack 01, but the wings from Animated Wings Ultimate requires the Animated Wings Ultimate mod. If AWU was detected when installing pack 01, you should have got VLrn Patch 07.esp. Confirm that you have it, if you want awu wings.

So the message box displays :
PC Outfit patch | disabled or enabled depending on if I check it in MCM or not, doesn't seem to accomplish a lot though
PC Wings: VLWR | enabled, which seems correct
NPC Wings: VLWR | disabled, which seems correct as well

I've double checked the requirements and I believe I have everything, could it be a version problem ? You did not mention any in the description I believe, or I missed it.
I have all latest except for powerofthree's Papyrus Extender for which I have 5.8, current is 5.10. Could this be the issue ?

My PC character appears as a HVL with no wings upon transformation.

I don't have AWU, I tried VLO but I removed it since as it did not accomplish anything more in my current situation.

Do you see anything more I should check ?

In any case, I'm very grateful for your answer.

TheBlackBarth also experienced a similar issue and the problem was a missing requirement.
You can scroll down and see if some steps can help resolve your issue.

I've tested the mod on the latest steam version.

If you have the latest steam version of Skyrim, then you should check if you downloaded the version matching requirements.

I haven't installed a mod pack yet, so I'm not sure if there is an incompatibility with mod packs.

If you can then install the requirements again, even if they are already in the mod pack and overwrite the mod pack.

Have you checked if the wings are equipped in your inventory after transforming? If they are equipped, but are invisible then that is an armor race issue. Opening the mcm and closing it once should resolve that issue.

Lastly, I'm assuming that you installed the tracking revision spell update and that you made it overwrite pack 01.

"Lastly, I'm assuming that you installed the tracking revision spell update and that you made it overwrite pack 01."
      Yes I did.

I do have latest Skyrim steam version.

"Have you checked if the wings are equipped in your inventory after transforming? If they are equipped, but are invisible then that is an armor race issue. Opening the mcm and closing it once should resolve that issue. "
I do have them, they are equipped, but opening and closing the MCM doesn't do anything.

"If you can then install the requirements again, even if they are already in the mod pack and overwrite the mod pack."
I'll try to upgrade powerofthree's Papyrus Extender from 5.8 to 5.10.

Try updating Dylbills Papyrus Functions, as that is the mod that is in charge of resolving the invisibility issues. The specific function that I used also released recently.

If its included in the mod pack, then it's probably a stable version and not the latest version.

I tried to upgrade powerofthree's Papyrus Extender, but if I put the correct Skyrim version in the installer it doesn't work as I must then upgrade address libray, which I can't because then it breaks the custom modpack dll patches.

I've tried to put the incorrect Skyrim version (SE, I have anniversary) as advised by MO, and it does work there, but still the issue of the invisible wings remains.

It's a big modlist, there is likely some incompatiblity somewhere, thank you very luch for trying though, I would love to play with winged HVL but I may have to settle for an unwinged version.

Delete the folder in the path overwrite\skse\plugins\vlrn

Reset the mcm via the debug toggle.
Retoggle all your options, if the wings are still invisible, try approaching Serana, Harkon or Valerica. If that doesn't work then, it's likely a mod incompatibility. The revised version of vlrn doesn't have an mcm and you can choose your wing type in the fomod. It's base requirements is only SKSE. That should work on your mod list, however you will have to clean your save, if you do downgrade or uninstall the mod.

It's either a requirement issue or a save issue.

If it's a save issue you can either:

      - use the console command "setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1" (although this may reset all your mcms, meaning you may have to reconfigure some of them).

      - purge all VLrn plugins with resaver:

Open the bugged save with resaver.

Purge all the vlrn plugins in the plugins lite section.

      Save the modified save.

      Relaunch skyrim.

Are you using the outfit feature revision? If so, then it's not compatible with the latest version and update.

Each update file is only compatible with a single main file.

Lastly ensure that you have the applicable mod requirements.

I was trying with the 6.11 and its appropriate patch because I already had all the pre-requisites from other mods.

Just tried with the 6.1.03 and its appropriate patch and is working now properly.

If you downgraded, then the save is bugged. The only way to resolve this is to:

Open the bugged save with resaver.

Purge all the vlrn plugins in the plugins lite section.

      Save the modified save.

      Relaunch skyrim.

Now the mcm should become responsive. Check if it's responsive by using the debug info to messagebox toggle.

Check if the wings are equipped in your inventory upon transformation. Wait until the transformation is completed.

If they aren't then it may be a requirement issue.

If they are equipped, then it could be an armor race issue, which should not happen on 6.1 03 or it could be that the wrong version of AWU is installed. In order to check this, you can check VLrn Patch 07.esp with SSEEdit for errors.

No Wings showed up on the Inventory.

Here are images of everything, from the game, from the Load Order, from the Installed Mods:

I'm not seeing this mod installed (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22854). Do you have it?

Have you also tried resetting the mcm(the option is in the debug section) and toggling the options back on?

This problem is either linked to skse, po3 papyrus extender or invalid json files created by the latest version on your previous save.

If it's not missing requirements and you have confirmed that the requirements match your game version. Then if you've also reset the mcm and toggled options on and still have the issue, then it's either a mod conflict issue or a game version incompatibility. I've tested the mod on the latest steam version.

Did you also install the relevant update file because the mod file is not marked as being overwritten? The update must overwrite the main file.

You were correct. I missed that specific one and I assumed it was merged in one of those other papyrus patches I got.

Apologies for all the troubles, everything working as intended now.
