I am a bit concerned by the number of mannequins on each level, and the straight line architecture. Even 20 or so mannequins with elaborate outfits in a line of sight can cause serious lag on my computer.
Make a fresh save for this purpose. open console, click on mannequin, type disable, hit enter, close console. That mannequin is now permanently gone from that save. If you disable the wrong thing, simply type enable to turn the item back on as long as it's still selected. I recommend this mod to see what you are clicking on in the console > https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19250 You can leave the activators in place as they do not cause lag. A mannequin contains the visible body and 2 invisible activators that can be clicked on but are invisible otherwise. Do that as many times as you feel necessary for your computer to handle. Jaxon positioner mod works as well for this task. Profit and enjoy
The mod creator themselves indicated that they made choices because of crashes on their computer. I am attempting to give advice that could result in improvements to future releases of this mod for ALL users. Breaking up the lines of sight will improve framerates for most users. Shortening the distance that needs to be traveled to get back to level entrances will make it easier to use. Long straight halls are only the best solution if simple construction is needed.
I do get a little lag with a full room myself (Around 5 to 10 FPS drop, also I'm using a mod that lets skyrim go past 60, so I remain above that), though my PC has 32GB of ram, and while in here my usage does go up to around 60-70 percent. I'm hoping that a full room should be playable for most people with at least an entry level gaming rig with 8gb of ram, just maybe at the cost of a little fps loss.
I didn't include many light assets and such since that made things muuch worse, so I'm hoping since I did that things should be okay for the majority of people. try it out and let me know!
If you are using over 50% of 32GB RAM, that means 8GB has no chance without a LOT of frame loss. I would suggest a square loop to try to cut down on the FPS loss.
Lol - I have around 1,000 or so mannequins scattered around the place in many locations - but that many? I use living mannequins and customize your mannequins so they are copies of a set of about 75 NPCs from my game - all standing going through idles etc - so that would really load up the game!
I got around 50 dressed living mannequins in a room, my rtx3090 and 64gb ram cant handle this. Since you are using living mannequins, I have a question, my mannequins only play the idles when I open and close their inventry for once, any idea on how to make them play the idles as soon as I enter the room where they're being.
Might be some issues with landscape changes from Riverwood mods. That's right outside Leafrest for one thing, and ETaC makes some geography changes around there. Depending on what is loaded last, that might increase the difficulty of finding it.
Barring landscape changes, the game drags you right to that spot if you come into Riverwood with Ralof.
I used this mod > Pocket Empire Builder https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28475 to install a teleport door between my home and this room so the display room is basically an extension of my home. I've been using the teleport doors in Pocket Empire for years with my heavily modded games and never had a single issue. You can move the doors around with Jaxon positioner mod. Works perfectly. I also disabled every other mannequin to clean up the room a bit. I'll probably retexture the room also to my liking, but it's nice work. If you use Jk's Riverwood, the entrance door on the ground is covered a little by grass. It sits between the main river and the stream on the little piece of land west of the bridge. Endorsed
