I thought I would like these, but they stick out like a sore thumb....in VR anyway. Some of them kinda of shimmer, in a distracting way, as well. From a distance it looks like the Jarl of Falkreath's forehead is shimmering like an old picture tube with white noise on it. Also, I like the contours on the vanilla circlet better. It would have been preferable to redesign those, or just the stones.
i just downloaded this. it works perfectly as intended right out of the box.
i think you did a great job, it looks a world better !
would totally love a circlet mod with different designs, not just 5 gems and a band. i think there are endless possibilities for circlet beauty. i like this overwrite mod though. its simple to use. and tackles the issue (of ugly circlets) right away.
It does work...partially. Thing is, due to the request of others they added a patch that simply reverts all vanilla circlet in game to so that they have the JS models and not the ones added by it.
Great mod. Thanks. BTW, how to make it cover all CCOR circlets? Even with the patch from kryptopr`s Patch Hub there are still vanilla/CCOR looking circlets in game.
I use Travellers of Skyrim mod. And sure enough, one of them had purple texture where circlet was. Tried everywhere and found I had this mod and actually read the comments section. :) Go figure right. Used the fix from below and it worked. And yes, it ended up being a female high elf. Thanks so much for the fix. Even a couple years later, it still fixes the issue.
From ak0d... For everyone with problems getting this to work with female elves: USSEP changes the file structure for female elf circlets. Open the JS Circlet Replacer folder (assuming you installed via MO) and create a new folder structure: meshes\uskp\armor\circlets\FemElfCirclets Copy all the circletf meshes from meshes\armor\circlets into the new FemElfCirclets folder. Voila, the new circlets should now show up. This solution will also work for other circlet replacers that don't show up on female elves.
It seems that no matter what I do, I can't get this mod to work. I get a purple crown, the textures are missing what I equipped a circlet. I can see it in my inventory but it doesn't show on my character. I tried it both on an elf and an imperial. Same issue. I use vortex but can't seem to find the files to place it after Immersive Jewelry or Circlet FTW.
I figured it out... This mod and Immersive Jewelry are not compatible. Oops! lol
I removed immersive jewelry and now this mod works like a charm. To bad... I liked some of the stuff from the other mod too.
Hmm, I'm having trouble getting it to work with anyone, much less elves. I'd read about the elf issue so implemented that fix before even starting, but started up a new playthrough and just got to Whiterun and Balgruuf is still wearing the vanilla design. I'm using MO2 and have this mod set to priority over the only mod that conflicts with it in my load order, which is Gemling Queen Jewelry.
Forgot to mention, this also includes my playable character. I'm at a complete loss here. If the paths are right, and they are, I don't get why its not working. They're loose files, they have priority over anything that's not specifically overwriting it as a loose file as well and that's not the case in my load order. And the mod worked flawlessly for me in past playthroughs.
Same for me as well, on a female Imperial character--can't see it on the character nor in inventory. I've got this overwriting Gemling (which is loose and shouldn't affect anything), and also USSEP and CCOR. Tried the fix for female elves and nothing changed.
Figured out the issue for me--the incompatibility was with CCOR, but luckily kryptopyr has a patch. Keep in mind, if you use the More Jewelry option from CCOR, it adds new circlets that this mod can't replace. Kryptopyr recommends disabling More Jewelry for this reason.
