Since I have never published an SSE version of a mod before, I want to make sure that this works and has no bugs.

Please let me know if you find anything wrong!

I don't normally leave comments, but this mod specifically left me with no choice.

I have searched for a home that makes sense to me, and what I mean by that is not gigantic, not too small, has displays for my unique stuff I find, a decent number of mannequins, should have nifty doodads, thematically fit into the world, isn't just a giant pile of standard meshes and textures copy-pasted into a pile, that sort of thing. I want a home, not a house. The biggest problem I've always ran into has been that I'd find something, and it wouldn't have labeled storage, or it would have too much of something; follower beds, displays, etc. I'd find one that fits all the bills, but is rediculously huge, as in a castle as large as solitude itself. I've tried nearly every house on the Nexus, and aside from Elysium Estate, which is wonderful, I have never found another quite like it that fit my needs.

Until now that is. THIS home not only has a decent size (if a small bit cramped in some spaces) but has room for everything I've ever wanted, while also not being so grandiose that I feel I must pay a good 120k just to purchase it. There's no guards, no excess npcs wandering around, every single room is meticulously detailed and well thought through. The lighting being toggleable is a wonderful addition. There are little notes laying around that are not only lore friendly, but accurate and immersive to the home as well. It's so far removed from the rest of the world that it feels comfortably obscure, especially with the location not being immediately revealed on my map (i had to actually go find this place!) While the home is free of charge technically, the effort to find it and get to it (without fast travelling) makes it an excellent balance to its nonexistent cost in my humble opinion.

Some areas can be a bit noisy, but again, this is fitting into the theme of being a Dwemer construction, which naturally contains many mechanisms and the like which are normally still operating to this day.

I can't sing enough praises for this mod. It has become a staple part of my game's world, and I doubt it will ever be replaceable as my character's home. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing work.

It's annoying when the description doesn't specify if the house is free or must be bought. I personally prefer when player homes must be bought / rebuilt / built / given through a quest. So everytime, it's a bummer...

Does anybody else have this mod spawning a random door to nowhere southwest of Whiterun?

You can see Whiterun in the background, and my console claiming that Nilfholm is the door's source. For reference, this would actually be right in front of the entrance to Elysium Estate, if I had that mod enabled at the time I took the screenshot.

I do have that door, I think I remembered it's near Honningbrew. Doesnt seem to harm anything, doesnt seem to do anything.

Yes, I see it in my game also.  It is in the middle of the prairie outside Whiterun midway between Palagia Farm and the Western Watchtower.  I disabled the door using console command, and it appears that it had no adverse affect on the Niflholm house mod functionality in any way that I can tell.  I would say this remedy works for me.

I have searched and searched and SEARCHED for the perfect mod home and I have FINALLY found it. I absolutely love it. There are only three or four things I would change/update/improve:

    1) it’s super dark. BUT maybe I need to install a lighting mod and that’s totally fine.

    2) I agree with the other comment that mentioned the bookshelves in the stellarium. I would use more shelves if possible.

    3) A mannequin room would be DOPE. I’m a weirdo and like to collect the outfits of my interesting kills hahahahahaha. The only mod that seems to have a lot of them is dragons blood castle. Even if the dark pass was lined with mannequins, that would be cool. Just a suggestion.

    4) more displays for unique items. Not sure if I just can’t find it, or if it doesn’t exist past the one wall. But it would be cool to be able to display thieves guild stuff, nightingale armor, the weapons you get for being a thane, the lexicon, the insect jars, etc. I really admire the amount of unique displays  Eastmarch Manor, for context.

thanks for making my new favorite mod. even if you never changed it, it’s still great!

I agree with the 1st one. The house is extremely dark & gloomy. Other than that, the home is my #1 go-to player home.

The true question is, will the organ play Phantom of the Opera? Cause with something like this I need to find black robes, a white Phantom mask mod, and boom! New Skyrim playthrough

I do not want to use this mod.

exclusively because it doesn't fit my personal taste in houses. I dislike sprawling, incredibly rich player homes - it's always a bit jarring to me that some adventurer just happens to have their own palace (in some cases) while Jarls - a good majority of them - simply have a large wooden lodge with humble furnishings.

but that's entirely a ME problem! because despite me not being into this sort of player home, I can't sing it enough praises. the aesthetics are ON POINT. this player home is GLORIOUS. it absolutely is. truly a sight to behold! complete, functional, full of detail and eyecandy. I would happily recommend it to anyone, which I do. instant endorse.

Seriously, if anyone's reading these comments for feedback on wrether or not to give this a try, trust me, IF YOU LIKE WEALTHY PLAYER HOMES THIS WILL ABSOLUTELY PLEASE YOU. good god it's so good.

In VR this place does knock down the FPS.  For me it's too much to be useable but check it out, the place is beautiful.  My favorite part was the guest quarters though.  I wish I could put that next to Elysium estate for my companions to hang out.  The biggest deal breaker for me though is probably the reason the Dwemer went extinct.  The absolute racket of their stupid machines made them all go mad and off themselves.  I spent most of my time checking the place out trying to find the button to turn off the noise.  To be fair, it is really only the main central great room that had that, all the peripheral rooms were quieter.  Nice having the light switches, it seems to help VR FPS if the lights are down, like in hearthfire homes if you don't build in the chandeliers and sconce lights it helps keep the FPS up.  I think I might have lived with the negatives though if the location was more central to the reach but this really is too far north for it to be practical for me.  This post is for people like me and just some opinionated information.  If you read down thru the comments most people really love this place and I did enjoy exploring it.  There are a lot of really great things in this place.

for me, this mod was a surprise. My friend installed it while I was having a nap one day and showed me when I woke up. Absolutely stunning. Thanks.

Probably one of the best houses I've ever seen, and I've been playing with mods for years! The attention to detail is just AMAZING. Thank you so much for this mod, absolutely in love with it!
