From what I've seen, this mod works for many, even for the current version 1.6.1170. of Skyrim, I was going to try it, but I solved my problem, but I can't help but wonder if someone else is going through the same thing and still doesn't know the reason. Description: Your character moves slowly, you're not overloaded, you don't have any visible negative effects, you're not stuck with the caps lock key (as many assume on other pages when looking for a solution to this problem), but your character moves slowly, running is slower than it should be, the same goes for walking.
Have you tried sitting down, using the shield, loading a quicksave, pressing the sprint button while in the menu, interacting with characters while alternating between sprinting and walking, changing scenes while running (crossing doors that initiate the loading screen) in short, you've tried everything, and your character is slower than it should be, does the player.setav speedmult 130 command work for you? but it's annoying to have to execute it.
I know, that's why you're here, but here they give you the solution for basic causes, which the author knows, what is obvious, you can't solve problems of unknown origin, or at least, not in all cases, so I ask you, do you remember when the problem of your character's slowness started? maybe after a battle? against a mage? did you receive an ice spell? frost, or perhaps, the ice stake?
Well, it turns out that was the cause for me, I know, I'm sure, I tried many things to fix it, I saw many possible causes, but I remembered that the problem started shortly after a combat in which I received a certain blow from an ice stake spell, which has a slight and temporary slowing effect, but somehow, it continued affecting my character, of course I tried many things, deactivating status effects with mods among them, yes, I also tried deactivating mods to rule them out, it didn't change anything, player.setav speedmult 130 worked to balance the speed, but it's annoying to have to enter the command every time you exit and enter the game, I resigned myself to having to enter the command every time I start a new game, I didn't want to delete my save, especially since I was so advanced, well, I ran into a couple of Thalmor justices, one of them was precisely casting an ice stake spell, so I decided to try something, let him catch up to me again, and you know what happened? I started walking too fast, well, I had the speedmult at 130, so I changed it to 100 and look at that, I'm walking normally again, as it should have always been, of course I thought maybe I was imagining it, I created another save, with a character without problems and compared the speeds, using the same armors, and weapons, well, everything is normal now.
If I'm writing all this now is because as I said, I solved my problem, so I can't verify if this mod would have solved it, but I still wonder if anyone has a similar event, I need to know if this mod could solve this problem, in case it happens again.
Doesn't seem to work. Can't really find anyone who has my specific issue neither.
- Only my 1st Person Mode walking/running/jogging is affected. When switching to 3rd Person Mode, the run speed is fine. - 1st Person Mode running is just as fast as sneaking. - No, Capslock isn't on and I'm not walking, I'm running. So Alt-Tabbing out and Capslocking does not fix my issue. - The command: 'player.forceav speedmult' does not fix my issue. I can put it to 150 and I'll run at normal speed but I'll sneak/sprint too fast. - To reiterate, I used the command: 'player.getav speedmult' to see my current speed values and it's at 100, but it feels like 50. - I ONLY need to fix the normal movement speed. Sprint and Sneak movement speeds are unaffected by my problem. - Problem started after sneaking in shallow water where it rapidly switched between swimming and sneaking. - Oh, and this mod does not fix my issue.
It wouldn't, this aims at a well known, vanilla, 100% reproducible, "always there" issue. You've apparently stumbled into a very esoteric, very specific, conditional glitch, maybe not even caused by anything vanilla.
Just installed this on SE 1.5.97 and I am so relieved, this is the only fix I've used that actually works seamlessly when sheathing/unsheathing while sprinting, THANK YOU SlavicPotato!
Can we please have this post pinned. Without the search feature that was available on the forums for mod posts that Nexus took down it's not as easy to find this important information.
I wanted to let you know that this mod appears to have some problems w/ the new update, even with the updated version of Address Library. I'm getting a warning from MO2 saying that it was reported as incompatible during load.

Can anyone help? I've got no clue what to do.
Edit: Seems to work with 1.6.1170.
If you are sprinting and sheathe/unsheathe without stopping, using only Bug Fixes SEE causes the slow sprinting bug.
