Is there a reason this patch has a master for CACO_True Fortify Effects for Magic Skills? I usually run Caco without that option

Doesn't look like it. I just cleaned unused masters in xedit and the dependency dropped. I'll upload a new version at some point (probably tomorrow, and if not.. probably within 7 days).

All good thanks for the reply. I will probably just do that myself too but your dedication to your mod version is appreciated :)

The IsCorrodible() function in the corrodeArmor script looks wrong to me. It requires a piece of armor to have all exempted keywords in order to prevent corrosion, which doesn't make sense. An armor can't be Chitin and Bonemold at the same time.

For instance, if a piece doesn't have a "NoCorrosion" keyword, it is deemed corrodible, regardless of any other material keyword it may have. Furthermore, I have no idea where the "NoCorrosion" keyword comes from, it's not a vanilla or WAF keyword.

Hmm, yea. Looks like you're right. All those should return false (w/ inverted conditions), and I skipped the base return. Oops. I don't use any of those armor types so I didn't really spend a tonne of time on that function.

edit: fixed it, I'll compile and re-upload v1.1 later on; thanks for pointing this out

Good work, but a small patch like this is best released as an ESPFE (ESLified ESP). Many of use have few or zero regular-ESP mod slots left.  ESLifying is best done by the mod releaser, otherwise every user of the mod has to remember every time the mod is updated to manually go ESLify it, or their game will crash out with no indication why it died.

Okay, I'll get to that at some point. I don't have that problem though, so it isn't quite as pressing for me.

"instead of via the ArmorPerks AV which usually would result in a negative armor rating and subsequent insta-death from physical attacks."

Interesting. Is this why I'd hear of Armor Rating Redux and the like mods causing instant deaths every now and again?

I don't know, could be. What I know, is that I disabled all my other mods to verify CACO was solely responsible and that it wasn't an
interaction between it and something else.
