If you use Shadows of Skyrim it fixes almost all of the weird problems this mod has on reload/death. Also super cool that this works in other world spaces like Chanterelle and Gray Cowl of Nocturnal!
Is there really no fix for the reload issues besides using something like Shadow of Skyrim? My already chaotic load order and squishy character build means I die a lot so adding something like Shadow of Skyrim would probably get really annoying. Undaunted is such a cool mod that I am tempted to keep this in my load order despite the issues though, as long as they continue to only occur while I am doing Undaunted quests. You mentioned "corrupting saves" earlier? Is this something I should worry about?
Sorry, late reply. Like you, I die alot in my game. I use Shadow of Skyrim without the annoying nemesis system and dropping stuff on death all completely disabled so that it only functions as just a respawner essentially without my character actually dying (no having to reload lost progress in dungeons, stuff like that)
If you don't want to use Shadows Of Skyrim though, like you said these problems only happen when you're doing the Undaunted invocations (Dying in an invocation mission will result in CTD) this mod doesn't really affect anything else as far as i could tell though.
As for the corrupted saves, if you save inside of one of the Rift dungeons the invocations send you to I found that it splits your save out of your characters profile and they all go into the All Saves category instead. I don't know that much about how saving and whatever works but I don't assume that's a good thing to happen.
Cell names that have underscores in them will cause your save to split like that. There's a synthesis patcher you can go over your load order with real nice and easy.
So I just installed this, talked to the old man near Windhelm, did like two mini quests around the area, then the third time it pointed me to a portal. The problem is the place I needed to enter was waaaaay under the ground. I only saw it using TFC, it was a little dwemer tower with an antenna or whatever at the top. Is this normal or was I really unlucky that the first portal spawn was under the ground? And no, I dont have any mod creating a landscape there.
Edit: Yeah, after loading a save previously to interacting with the mod, I was unlucky the first time, but now the rift thing was just barely above ground so I was able to activate it. Though going inside it was just hallways with dead trees, and no enemies at all. It seems this mod is extremely bugged, and it can basically be unplayable since it can randomly puts the rift under the ground. Damn shame, it's a interesting mod.
You a real one for this! I remember trying Undaunted in the past, and it being a pretty buggy experience, but I might give it another shot with this. Thanks!
Ran into a weird bug where the rifts are always empty when I went into them. There's no enemy at all so I can just run all the way to the exit unscathed and get the key for free
I'm on v 1.597 and has enemy revamped mods but this is a bit strange. The overworld encounters are fine, just not in the Rifts
this mod is buggy as s*** CTD on load, enemies you killed respawning on load, corrupting saves, floating hair in the dungeons, player and enemy turning invisble in the dungeons, enemies spawning inside of features. it's a damn shame
