    For some reason the flintlock works normally but the lore friendly guns doesn't work and I can't even shoot.
    EDIT: I'm trying and it seems that lore friendly guns doesn't work at all, it doesn't shoot or reload but it does let the pistol rounds but if I use the flintlock one, there I can reload and shoot but I have to use the soul gem splinter projectile of the flintlock making it the pistol rounds don't work at all
    EDIT 2: Now the mod dont works directly, I don't know what the hell is happening, the lore guns mod is there but the reload script no longer works, the pistol rounds are there but it is in the default mode of the lore guns mod there with its capacity of 15 shots , that one is super broken but the adventure flintlock one works great

    Wondering if my ammo being a misc item with a generic box icon has anything to do with the fact that my guns refuse to reload?

      Doesn't work with flintlock pistols either. Bummer

      the misc tab thing is intended. as for the reload not working part... idk to be honest. the mod seems to work for some people, and for some it don't. make sure you have keyword item distributor installed - that seems to solve it sometimes.

      It definitely should work as long as you have the dependencies.

      Note: The reload only works for the Misc. item "Pistol Round" instead of the OG Mod "Pistol Bullet" with the Soul Gem Icon, so I just use them as soul gems or sell them.

    Which file should I choose if I have both pistols mods installed?

      I suppose both files. But the mods were never intended to be used together (their reloading patches I mean) so I can't guarantee they will work.

    Yo. In what order should I place all the mods?

    Flintlock Pistols for Adventures
    Simple Pistol shooting Animation
    Pistol Reloading Script - Flintlock Pistols for Adventures

    Is this Right?

      Yep. That is correct. My mod's esp be loaded after Flintlock Pistols .esp file and, if you have downloaded the optional animations file, it should replace Simple Pistol shooting Animation's _conditions.txt file.

    I just can't seem to get it to work. I'm using the Fintlock pistols for adventurers version since that's the only gun mod I'm using as well as loop's pistol animation mod. I have KID installed and it works perfectly fine for other mods. The MCM for the mod also shows up normally as does the notification of the mod being activated but when I press the assigned hotkey nothing happens even though I do have a soul gem splinter in my inventory and a pistol equipped.

      I suspect the issue may have something to do with the mod being installed on existing save games, but I haven't been able to replicate it myself. Can you try it on a new save game?

      yeah I always tried it on a new save and I also tried using different pistols, different hotkeys, tried disabling an enabling the mod but I never got it to work. It also doesn't make a difference whether loop's animation is installed or not. also thanks for the fast reply!

      I see. Thanks for the detailed feedback - it helps me eliminate some possibilities. But to be honest, I have no idea what might be causing this, so it might take a while for me to fix it.

      I totally understand. It would be a shame because this mod would really be the cherry on top of my combat load order. but you're awesome for replying and helping so fast, never seen that with another mod author!

    No matter what I try this doesn't seem to work for me. MCM menu shows up but pressing the hotkey does nothing.

      Which version are you using? Do you have Keyword Item Distributor installed? Furthermore, I'm sorry if those questions may sound dumb but, are you holding a gun? Do you have pistol rounds in your inventory?

      Same for me. Neither Flintlock nor Lore Pistols reload scripts will work. What's odd is that a few months ago I had it working perfectly fine but I have added and updated a ton of mods since then so maybe somethings overwriting it.

    Thanks a lot for this. This is what the gun mods were missing, all relying on soul gems. Finally someone made this mod! :) :) :)

    I'm only a beginner with xEdit so could you kindly add support for "Simple Pistol Shooting Animation by Loop(Include standalone pistol and crossbow) - SSE" aswell?

      For sure. Do you want a standalone version for Loop's pistol only, or do you use any other gun mods? I can either make a standalone patch, which will not be compatible with the other versions (Lore friendly Guns Version/Flintlocks for Adventures Version), or I can make a patch which will depend on either one of those versions.

      Edit: For some reason though, the reload button doesn't work. I can only reload using soul gems. :(

      Make sure you have pistol rounds in your inventory. Also, you need to be using a gun, since the script affects only the guns from that mod, not the one handed crossbows. If it still doesn't work, then the reloading sequence might have bugged out. To fix that, simply shoot another loaded gun, and you should be able to reload normally afterwards. You could also try rebinding the hotkey in the MCM.

      Well, that's odd. Maybe the script's quest failed to initialize properly? Try the following: Disable the mod in the MCM, unpause the game, then enable it again. You should see a message saying 'Enabled Pistol Reloading Script'. If you still can't reload after that, or if the message doesn't pop up, there's something else I'd like you to try:

      Go back to the main menu, type 'coc whiterun' in the console, then use the console to give yourself a gun and a few rounds. See if it works that way - if it does, maybe that means this mod won't work if installed in a savegame where you were already using the guns. Or maybe it simply doesn't work with guns obtained prior to the installation of my mod - you can console in a new gun to confirm.

      I think I managed to fix this. Had it happen in my own game. Apparently, in some load orders, the gun keywords were not being assigned to the pistols, preventing the reloads to happen, since they relied on those keywords. I have included a Keyword Item Distributor (which is now a requirement) file in the latest update, which seems to have fixed it, at least in my LO. If you're still interested in this, please do let me know if the update fixed it for you.

      Haven't had a chance to try what you previously suggested on the 27th but the new fix works. Now we just need a simple reloading animation. :P

      I'm glad it all worked out for you :)

      About adding animations - I'm not an animator myself, but I am willing to include animation functionality in the script if an animator shows interest in making animations for this mod.

      Perhaps you could add a version that just uses the vanilla crossbow reload animation 
      Then we could easily take that and swap the animation it uses to another if we happen to find a better suited animation in another mod 
      I sware i have seen a good reload animation in another mod that i would use in this case

      Yeah I saw those animations too. Promising indeed - I really hope they get released.
