Are these compatible with Nolvus? Trying to use the 21.9 but it looks very zoomed in. Not sure if its a load order problem or just cant be used with the 21.9 version of Nolvus for some reason.
I don't use Nolvus, so I'm not sure what effect it might have, or why a Reshade/ENB would zoom in on a main menu mesh. Double-check your override folder in MO2 (if you're using that) to make sure that this mod's main menu mesh is the one being used -- the most usual cause of errors is if that's being overwritten by something else in your mod list. Apart from that, you might check the mod page for Precise Main Menu Wallpaper Mesh in case it has something on incompatibility with Nolvus or other reshades.
It has to do with the mesh if I'm not mistaken, been a while since I did it. I had the same issue on my end and fixed it by adjusting the scale and x position values.
Yeah, it sounds like it's an issue or incompatibility with the mesh. I'd suggest making a bug report or post on the Precise Main Menu Wallpaper Mesh mod page so they can figure out a potential patch for Nolvus.
They are really beautiful backdrops, but the list on the right below doesn't change, instead I would really like to have the central menus, like in the screenshot, is there a way? I searched but didn't find anything.
I'm actually not sure. The 'Precise Main Menu Wallpaper Mesh' used here works with 4096x4096 .dds files, but the actual wallpaper image is a fraction of that space -- the menu images used are either 3144x1769 (for 16:9 screens) or 4096x1769 (21:9).
I don't know if it's possible to upscale the wallpapers to 4K and still work with the same mesh -- the mesh mod description indicates it should be possible, but I have no way to test that on my end. Let me know what you find out!
Hello, firstly thanks for this amazing mode. <3 If I use " Main Menu Randomizer SE " by " lanastara " Can I add my own wallpapers by following / creating this path ?
> 📁 El Capitan 📁 data 📁 textures 📁 interface 📁 objects 📄 mainmenuwallpaper.dds (8.4 MB) <
I guess i need only change to name of 📁 El Capitan This folder right ? To an any random thing name ? <3
Yes, that is correct. Easiest way is to copy a subfolder within /mainmenuwallpapers/, then give it a new unique name, then replace the mainmenuwallpaper.dds file with your new menu texture.
If you think the image you want to add fits the landscape art in this mod, feel free to make a suggestion so I can consider adding it a future version of the mod :-)
Yes, you can; if you have both mods installed with MO2, the /mainmenuwallpapers/ folder in the VFS will show both sets of folders from both randomizer versions. There is no overlap between the folder names, so everything should show up.
Heyo! I really love thoose backgrounds. Is it possible to make the menu from this mod compatible with your backgrounds? I have no clue how to do it and i only get black bars around your pics.
If you're looking for the one labeled 'CLASSIC', you can find that main menu background (albeit in color) packaged in my Heroes of Skyrim - Main Menu Replacers mod. (It's the one labeled 'attack_daniel-kvasznicza.dds', found in 'variants / vanilla menu/' subfolder).
The four 'LANDSCAPE' textures look pretty good; I'm going to search for color versions of those images and see if they'd work as additions to this mod. Thanks for the suggestion!
Wow, I completely misread your question. You weren't asking about the background images in the mod you linked, but the menu itself, which is from Dear Diary Dark Mode.
The answer is yes. The DDDM menu primarily affects the /interface/startmenu.swf file, which defines the menu design. This mod (and any main menu image replacer) affects the /meshes/interface/logo/logo.nif file, which defines the background image.
I installed DDDM (running the fomod to only install the main menu option) and the 'Sierra Nevada' image showed up without any issue. (See below). If you're seeing black bars around the image, then my guess is that you installed a logo.nif or logo01ae.nif file somewhere else. This might be in DDDM or it might be in another mod that's running after Skyrim Scenery. (Another user mentioned he found a logo.nif file in his MO2 overwrite folder, so check that as well). Once you find and remove the mesh, you should be able to see the images without black bars or distortion. Hope that helps!
Ahh yeah my bad. I forgot the mod i linked only adds a background itself with its own custom logo.nif and let their logo overwrite yours. Removing it and only using DDDM completly fixes the black bars. Thanks for your answer!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm pretty sure this is an issue with the logo.nif mesh, which I got from Precise Main Menu Wallpaper Mesh. Having a bit of the edges of the menu image cut off is normal, but you're right that the difference between your menu and the source is a lot more than I would have expected.
Unfortunately, I'm not very good at working with meshes, and I don't use a 21:9 monitor myself. I suggest posting your comment to the linked page for the mesh, and see if they can find an answer. Let me know if/when you do find out, so I can update my mod accordingly. Thanks!

The images are always in the bottom left corner.

There are still some sections on the side that are cut off
