Introduction

This mod sucks (Skyrim UnCounted - Knowledge is Significant) changes the way you play Skyrim.

How often have I played the game and found an armour I really liked?
I start completing this set of lets say Dwemer armour. But before I found that missing glove I discover an ebony helmet. So again my armour looked like assembled by an insane mixer who was in a hurry.
Or I find an awesome sword from a cool quest mod but because it is an easy quest the sword is not so strong.
Also the opposite can happen when you are modding. You find weapons and armours that are fare to strong because balancing is incredibly difficult. It was always an annoying decision to make. Do I try do roleplay or do I optimise my equipment? But I needed both for immersion!

In the end a came to the conclusion that is better and more realistic to not know the damage of a weapon, the protection of an armour or any values of the items you have (HIV (Hidden Item Values) for SkyUI is included). Because how would you?
Now you have to test the new sword on a wolf and your new armour in the next fight and go to a merchant to know how valuable this item is. Unbalanced armours and weapons are not so obvious anymore and you can stay in the game without thinking about some short fix in SSEEdit.
As in the out game world where we are influenced more by shine than by quality.

This supports the roleplay mechanics of the game. You need to take a look at the item, and of course you know if it is Daedric it must be strong. And if it is made of leather it must be weak. So you need to use your knowledge of the world to be good in the game. Knowledge is significant for your next fight.

This increases also the difficulty of the game without changing any numbers. Because you cannot simply equip automatically the best armour.

Suggestions from the author

I encourage you to add more mods to this kind of playstyle to immerse you more in the game:
- Remove your health bars and replace it with Health and Magika Rings - Non-VR
- Remove activation prompt with Simple Activate SKSE (you need to edit the .ini)
- Remove your HUD, enemy health bar or as I like to play, everything with Less Intrusive HUD II SE (you can remove it in the in game editor)
- Or keep the interaction hint minimalistic with this wonderful mod Decluttered Activators (Highly recommended, it provides a preconfigured .ini so you can start playing right away)
- Or you can try setting your HUD opacity to 0

Compatibility

- This mod is compatible with SkyUI Weapons Pack SE thank you ashingda for your permission (let my file win when installing)
- If you use animated armoury than this mod (SkyUI Weapons Pack SE) is a requirement
- Vortex and I assume MO2 as well will tell you if there is a conflict. It is only a file conflict and you need to decide which changes you want to have. Please leave a comment on the site so I can take a look or others are warned if there are any conflicts.
- Can be installed and uninstalled any time no impact on your save game
- No Plugin (no ESP, no ESM, no ESL)
- There is now a version for Dear Diary --> Dear Diary - Remove numbers for immersion

Will conflict with any mod that changes the following files (many UI mods do that):
- bartermenu.swf
- containermenu.swf
- craftingmenu.swf
- giftmenu.swf
- inventorymenu.swf
- interface\skyui\bottombar.swf
- interface\skyui\itemcard.swf
- interface\skyui\inventorylists.swf

There is a guide in article that shows you have to implement my changes in other UI mods.
