is there a way you could blacken nightfell maybe add some dark shadow affect making it look more unique from shadowmere.. like boethias stuff or nocturnal but keep red eyes.
This is the perfect solution to my issues: 1) on this playthrough I decided to wipe out the brotherhood, but regretted not being able to get shadowmere 2) I have a custom follower that kept thinking I was stealing their horse when I tried to mount a normal one. That doesn't happen with Nightfell, no issues, no bugs, perfect.
I guess it just doesn't work for me. I've tried everything, spam clicked every rock, even used no clip to check inside the textures. Nothing works. Never mind Thanks for the reply.

Here's how you add it through the console (or any item). If it doesn't show up, you don't have the mod enabled. Double check your installation and that NightfellHorse.esp is enabled in your load order.
1) Open up your console and type: help nightfell This will list everything in the games files that include the word 'nightfell'. Luckily, only my mod uses this exact word (unless you have other mods that use it), so it'll list 4 items: The magic effect, spell tome, spell and NPC. You'll want the spell tome.
"BOOK: (item code) 'Spell Tome: Summon Nightfell'" <== This one
2) Now type this into the console: player.additem TheItemCodeHere 1 This function will add one of the spell tomes into your inventory.
3) Close the console, go into your bag and use the spell tome.
Looks like a great mod, although I haven't tried it yet. As an avid fan of Arvak and Shadowmere, this mod looks perfect! I will download it tonight and endorse. Also, in response to your husky question in the description, I think it would be a great idea and hope you decide to make it. I loved the dawnguard huskies and would really like to get one without being restricted to the good side. As for implementation (summoned, level cap, etc.), whatever you would decide to do would be better than none so I couldn't complain haha.

Edit: Finished a test version of the Husky on Friday, just had booted up Creation Kit when I found this mod on the nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/717 It does pretty much what I was planning on doing, so there's no reason for me to repeat the process.
