Introduction

Massively buffed boss fights is a series of mods that aims to give experienced, veteran Skyrim players more challenge and more late game content.

I'm a big fan of Beyond Skyrim: Bruma and Surilaron is amazing. His creepy voice lines and lair set the atmosphere for an epic boss fight. His kit is also very cool, consisting of unique spells, some of which were were added in Bruma and a neat summoning mechanic with the dead researchers. However, considering his epic design and the fact that he is the strongest boss fight in all of Bruma, he is fairly weak. Surilaron, theoretically with his old 1:1 level scaling his stats scaled infinitely, but in practice he was never a real threat. I de-leveled him to be a level 180 BEHEMOTH, with massively buffed damage, stats, spells and perks. Prepare to die.

Details

- Surilaron is now 2-5x stronger than before (can't give an exact estimate due to the way his old level curve worked)
- Buffed stats to match his new level 180 together with his buffed spells and perks.
- New massively buffed versions of all of his previous spells:
1. Absorb Health Cloak drains for 6 times more than before, but lasts for only 30 secs instead of the old 60. (It's the spell with the red draining effect)
2. Stronger version of Command Daedra.
3. His signature Icy Fireball spell from Bruma is now upgraded to deal about 3 times more damage. He also uses stronger versions of Fireball and Ice Spike.
4. His Ebonyflesh spell has been upgraded to Surilaronflesh, which gives him about 1/3 more armor than the old one.
5. His Greater Ward spell has been upgraded to Surilarons Ward which is about 20-30% stronger.
- Now has new, unique, stronger perks to unlock even more damage out of his upgraded spells.
- Magic Resistance increased from 10% to 30%.
- Moves slightly faster during combat.
- Now immune to Mehrunes' Razor

Notes about fight

I maintained Surilarons intended Elemental damage composition. His Elemental damage remains at around 2/3 Fire damage and 1/3 Frost damage, with some non-Elemental damage from his Cloak. So Fire Resistance is very useful, Frost Resistance is quite useful and Shock Resistance is not helpful.

For strategy, you can try to avoid being in his melee range while he is healing with Cloak, you can try to hit him when his Flesh spell is down, which drastically buffs his armor, you can try to avoid firing spells into his Ward. Anything that works against the old Surilaron will help against the massively buffed one.


Compatibility and installation/uninstalling

ESL, which means it won't count towards your plugin limit. Can be installed and uninstalled in the middle of a save. Surilaron will get updated as long as you haven't already met him in your current save.

Compatible with everything that doesn't specifically alter Surilarons stats, spells or perks.
