Overall this is really great with the vanilla option when it comes to the walls, but I've noticed that - somehow - using this sometimes covers things on the floor.
For example, in Swindler's Den the chamber with the firepit/cooking station in it before you head through the narrow passage and encounter Kematu? The new floor texture covers all but the very tops of the rocks of the firepit.
WOW, these textures are PHENOMENAL!!! And I mean just absolutely gorgeous. They instantly breathed new life into our beloved Skyrim (<3) the moment I found 'em in game. I had totally forgotten that I downloaded this mod yesterday, so when I stumbled into Duskglow Crevice a little while ago to look for the Moth in a Jar, and I walked into a super narrow passageway with cave textures, I was hit with these textures and the realization that I did in fact install them! They looked so freakin' good, especially in that kind of narrow, winding passageway, where the cave walls and...roof(?), I don't know if you can call the top of a cave a roof, so maybe it is just another wall, except above you lol—ANYWAY, I was trying to say the textures looked incredible in that kind of narrow passage where there's barely one head's length of extra space above your head, and probably not even a fully outstretched wingspan's worth of space on either side of you. It really felt like I had just walked right into another game, in the best way.
So really, thank you, thank you, thank youtimesinfinity, my friend. You've got my wholehearted endorsement, without a doubt!
anyone know if this mod is necessary if you have 2020 parallax by pfuscher and maybe what else i could pair with that mod if it misses anything or even better recommendations?
Not everyone will like Pfuscher's textures, but even those who DO like them, should not immediately stop at his mods. Always look to see if there is something you might like more. Afterall, it's all FREE.
A few quick searches even after finding a new favourite texture mod are harmless and may pay off. In my case, this is the mod I found after more searching. I really like some parts of this mod, but not all, so I will attempt to combine other textures.
edit: After comparing a few mods, I came to the conclusion that this mod is a little unnatural, however it is still fitting in very specific locations. Unnatural as in, the rocks are really smooth and almost look like someone took a bunch of big pebbles and just lined the actual cave walls with them.
