This now has a FOMOD, which contains the main file + my patches for JK's inns. I've left the standalone plugins in the optional files in case anyone still prefers those.
Many thanks to GroundAura for being awesome and creating the FOMOD, I really appreciate it. :)
possible to make also the player undress on baths? There is some problem with navmesh or something cause the followers wont come down unless I port them in or use Stealth which causes NFF followers to TP behind me if they cant reach me. Love the mod btw!
For player undressing, there's a patch in the mod description under 'Patches'.
And the technical navmesh layouts for each room should be fine (I spent a long time testing each room, and making sure a follower could get in and out of each bath), but you might still occasionally run into issues. There's more info under 'Known Issues' in the mod description.
I found the "problem". It wasnt your mod at all! It was NFF's Relaxed Follower package. As soon as I set them "not to relax" they appeared immediatelly in the shared room. Sorry for the trouble. Epic mod!
Amazing mod!!! The only thing I'm noticing is Serana not recognizing the beds? All the other followers in the party of 5 do but not her. She uses everything else in the room fine. Anyone else noticing this? I do use Serana Dialogue Addon and SDA patches so perhaps a mismatch???
When you rent the shared room, all the beds in it are then owned by the player faction for twenty-four hours. This mod itself doesn't have any functionality that makes NPCs sleep in a bed. Maybe something to do with your Serana's sandboxing config? That's just a guess though, I'm not familiar with the specific Serana patch set-up you're using.
just wanted ask if any one else is have routing issue with river wood getting to the bottom of the inn cause none of my follower will go down either way to the bottom of it that can't even get down the stairs it bit small. they try and i've tried to teleport them but they won't budge. just wanted to know is that something any one elsa has. or is this a problem with mod.
So reading thru the bug report on the save issue. To fix I go into SSEdit, FollowersSleep, Global, and edit each of the Rented Locations, Editor ID's removing the "_"? I'm not a modder so need monkey level instructions :).
Anyone home? Is this an abandoned mod? Please answer so I know to fix the correct thing or is a FOMOD in work as you mentioned in the bug report? Thank you.
Hello, the room editor IDs are all script properties, and I'm not familiar enough with papyrus or the Creation Kit to know the impact of changing the editor IDs, especially on existing saves. The room editor IDs are all set as properties in the Creation Kit and in the .psc scripts.
At some point I'd still like to work on updating things, but this mod took me a couple hundred hours to make and I'm pretty burned out on it rn tbh lol.
Easiest workaround is just don't save while you're in one of the rooms; save before you enter or after after you leave.
I get it. Thank you for all the work. The saving before and after is pretty much what I do. It's the autosaves that disappear. I don't use CK and barely experienced with SSEdit. Just not confident enough yet to make those changes without some type of assurance I'm doing it right.
Small (?) request. Immersive wenches has tavern wenches that can also rent rooms. Since the innkeepers are killable and I've seen that many times, can we get a patch so the tavern wenches can also rent the shared accommodations? Thank you in advance for at least considering it.
Hey, not planning to make a patch for that (though anyone is welcome to), but if an innkeeper does die, they do at least have a replacement that will take over for them (there's a list in this mod's description). If the replacement also dies lol, then yeah there'll be nobody to rent the room.
This is a very nice mod! I've been looking for something like this for a while. I've always wanted the inns to be bigger, not only for followers. This adds a nice expansion to them so they don't feel so cramped. The rooms are nicely designed too. I love the attention to detail and it fits in with Skyrim very nicely. Thank you so much for this. And adding only a cellar door was a very smart compatibility choice. Inn overhauls are always so difficult because so many mods edit them and moving a cellar door in the event of a conflict is a breeze.
If anyone is wondering about compatibility, I use The People of Skyrim Complete, which edits some of the inns. Some of the cellar doors to this mod are fine without a patch with TPOSC, but a couple would need patching thouh they are still reachable. Additionally, I use Cooking Adventures of Skyrim, which also adds cellar doors to a chef's basement in some inns, which synergizes nicely. So far, the doors don't overlap. I use a variety of other inn overhauls for the rest of the inns. I haven't checked everything thoroughly yet, but I've only found one inn overhaul that majorly needs a patch. HS Solitude's Winking Skeever changes the basement layout, so the cellar door from this mod is inaccessible without a patch. (I'm not asking for patches by the way.)
I plan on making my own custom patches for my load order much later, but for anyone reading, patches for this mod in the CK would be a breeze. All you do is load up this mod and whatever mod it needs patching with in the CK. You move the trap door somewhere accessible. You move the marker that tells the game where to put your character after they've exited the cellar to match the new cellar door location. Then you click the button to finalize the navmesh. Save to a new plugin and you're done. Test out the patch to make sure it works without any problems and that's it. It's really simple. Thank you for all the compatibility info, that's really good to know. I love the attention to detail and it fits in with Skyrim very nicely. That really means a lot, appreciate it. :) Am glad you're enjoying this. And yeah, I definitely wanted to make this as easy to patch as possible, hence just dropping a trapdoor in each inn lol. Thanks again. :)
sorry i don't understand how this mod works, so i just rent normal room and then the shared room in winking skeever, but i expected when i sleep my follower will sleep beside me as well but nothing happend
Hey, no worries. When you rent the shared room, all the beds in it are then owned by the player faction for 24 hours. This mod itself doesn't have a functionality to make the NPCs sleep in a bed. Maybe look into mods that add more NPC sandboxing options, or mods that let you direct your followers to sleep in a bed that you own.
