a really cool feature to add into this mod would be for every soul he steals from you it adds 100 to his hp mp sp, i know its unrelated but theres another mod out there that adds that for every soul you get so itd be really cool if miraak conversely did that as well.
Can you make it a quest? No markers, I still want to find them organically, just flavor text that pops up when we kill a Dragon Priest letting us know he's been weakened or strengthened.
How do the mods interact more specifically. As I understand it, the process to make him a follower basically skips having a proper fight against him. (which would defeat the purpose of this mod)
due to the way the spid file works (as the MA stated it does affect follower Miraak i think because it's technically the same Miraak) it would apply the buffs and debuffs to Miraak (regardless if you fight him or not) basically making his final stats (should you kill all 4 acolyte priests like most players will) +25% magic resistance, +1000 health, +75% fortify destruction, +25% fortify one handed (i didn't add his vanilla stats whoops so at his strongest level (150 he levels 1.1 to the player) he already has Health: 1754, Magicka: 809, Stamina: 622 (so by pure stats alone for a level 150 boss he's pretty weak (and it only gets worse the further down you go his lowest level 35 is honestly pretty pathetic with a mere 747 health, 378 magicka, and 335 stamina now for a normal enemy this would be ridiculous but for a boss its just pathetic (and as a follower that doesn't level 1 to 1 with the dragonborn is even more pathetic)) perks: Augmented Shock (Rank 1), Respite, Bladesman (Rank 1), Critical Charge, Magic Resistance (Rank 1) (which only confers a 10% magic resistance hardly even makes a difference even if you are underleveled), Fighting Stance, Savage Strike, Recovery (Rank 1) (25% magicka regen), Extra Damage 2, Reduce Damage (these last 2 are unique perks only available to NPCs extra damage 2 doubles his damage (as far as i can tell he doesn't use the version that only applies to the player uesp didn't list him in the column for either the player only or the one that can affect other NPCs despite listing it on his actual entry page) while reduce damage cuts his damage by 1.5x (but only against dragons))skills: Speech, One-handed, Heavy Armor, Alteration, Destruction, Restoration (and yes his shouts are much shorter than the players to begin with i think he shout 50% faster than the player)) as killing the other 3 remove the buffs already added by default not a bad deal for a follower ok i'm understating this makes him more powerful than literally any other follower in the game (though you could forgo the other 3 dragon priest masks if you don't mind your collection being incomplete in most mod added homes and make Miraak even more powerful i'll let you do the math if you only kill Vahlok) and in fact this mod actually really helps with roleplaying that mod as well punishing you for killing your partner's allies
oh and this is on top of what you can select in the mcm for miraak follower (so potentially water walking better sneak (as his armor makes less noise) force within, fire within, dragonborn force, frost, and/or flame, and 2000 extra carry weight)
I'm sorry I saw the locked thread that questions this mods lore friendliness and although I think the person who posed the question was trolling I can't help but put my two cents in.
If you go to the https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Vahlok_the_Jailor you will see that there are two accounts of what happened. In one account Vahlok defeats Miraak but Hermaeus Mora transports him to Apocrypha before he can be killed. In the second account Miraak was defeated and imprisoned in a tomb on Solstheim. Vahlok was rewared for his heroism by becoming his ruler. However, he was tasked with ensuring Miraak never escaped his prison and was burried in Miraak's tomb to watch over him eternally.
Now stay with me here. Lets pretend that there are parts of each account that are true. Vahlok became Miraak's prisoner after Miraak was sealed away in a tomb by Vahlok, however, Hermaeus Mora teleports Miraak to his realm before he dies. Vahlok fears Miraak will return to Nirn so he becomes undead to ensure he will be able to thwart Miraak. As long as Vahlok exists the seals that dampen his power are still in affect.
There you go lore friendly back story that explains why there are two accounts of what happened to Miraak and help "justify" the concept behind this mod. You are welcome. Can't wait to try this mod out as soon as I get my PC.
Well, think of it this way Let's say miraak has these base stats:
1,000 Health
1,000 Magicka
25% Magic Resist
0% Fortify Destruction (No 'bonus' to damage/effect)
0% Fortify Shout (No 'bonus' to damage/effect)
0% Fortify One-Hand (No 'bonus' to damage/effect)
(No Dragon Priest and no Jailer Buff): (Means you have 'not' killed the jailer, but you have killed the Dragon Priests)
With Dragon Priest Buffs:
1,500 Health
1,500 Magicka
75% Magic Resist
25% Fortify Destruction
25% Fortify Shout
(With Dragon Priest and no Jailer Buff): (Means you have 'not' killed the jailer or the Dragon Priests)
With Dragon Priest Buffs + Jailer Buff:
2,500 Health
1,500 Magicka
100% Magic Resist
100% Fortify Destruction
25% Fortify Shout
25% Fortify One-Hand
(With Dragon Priest and Jailer Buff): (Means you have killed the jailer but 'not' the Dragon Priests)
With Jailer Buff:
2,000 Health
1,000 Magicka
50% Magic Resist
75% Fortify Destruction
0% Fortify Shout (No 'bonus' to damage/effect)
25% Fortify One-Hand
(No Dragon Priest and With Jailer Buff): (Means you have killed the jailer and the Dragon Priests)
To answer your question: There 'is' a change. his health increases as well as his magic resistance, combat spell casting & melee. If you want the hardest boss fight there is to this mod, do 'not' kill the Dragon Priests, only the Jailer. -- If you want the easiest, kill the dragon priests, 'NOT' the jailer. -- If you want a 'longer' fight, kill them both and focus on spell defense during their fight.
He gets weakened and is easier to defeat. If you don't kill the dragon priests he is very powerful, and cant be defeated unless you are very high level and have a lot of health potions/cheese wheels.
you both weaken him and make him stronger by mentioned values in description. I made a patch for myself that removes buff from killing vahlok ,less immersive but I don't have to deal with annoyance of not killing him before miraak if I'm exploring that dungeon .I'm also using king priest mod which buff miraak significantly already
Can I use this mod without having SPID installed? I haven't been to solstheim yet, and have only been attacked by the cultists that start the quest after coming down from high hrothgar.

EDIT: I'm wrong, my SPID does effect that Miraak too. Enjoy!
