Alright, let me quickly address the SPID versus non-SPID files.
Version 1.2 removed the SPID requirement, and the non-SPID version works perfectly fine on a new save or when installed well before fighting Alduin. However, upon further testing, I encountered a repeatable bug that can cause the buff to not be applied to Alduin if the mod is installed very close to when you naturally fight Alduin. If you installed the non-SPID version on a new save or well before fighting Alduin, there is no need to update to the SPID version. If you installed the non-SPID version on an existing save right before fighting Alduin, update to the SPID version.
So, which version do you pick? Either one. The only instance where the non-SPID version is not ideal is if you're installing right before fighting Alduin during an active save.
Hello, I think this is a great addition to the game, the story line has been always been streamlined, and i think this provides a "needed" obstacle to create worthwhile exploration. I have two quick questions and or additions.
1. When killing the Dragon Priests can you add a permanent buff to the player, either selectable or not. Where a player can select from a few buffs in the order they want, or receive buffs based on the specific priest.
2. Add notes to the game, that reveal the location of a dragon priest, obtained from arngeir or other greybeards. Similar to the way they do the words of power.
Thank you very much for the mod, looking forward to getting it in game and playing with it.
would this conflict with World Eater Beater? Also, I already defeated two Dragon Priests, would installing the mod mid game negate the effects of their defeat?
As far as I know, previously defeated cultists are recognized by this mod, and you should be fine. I'm unsure about World Eater Beater though as I don't use it.
Hi I downloaded this mod as apart of a pack and for some reason when attempting to uninstall, the mod has now write protected itself and is not allowing me to remove it from my system. Any idea what could be causing that? I am utilizing NMM for reference.
Yes. But not joining the college means you will likely not have significant investment into your magic skills, due to the fact that the higher level (adept+) spells are restricted to College vendors and, to a much more limited degree, certain court mages. Morokei boosts magic resistance, so that is not a problem for a non-mage. Might make your enchantments do a bit less damage, but that's it.
using this as a part of GTS, and no wonder Alduin was wiping the floor with my mage at LV 50+ on the first fight. Good show, makes sense for me to want to hunt them down to make fighting him in Soverngarde easier.
Ended up cheesing him by using a resist fire spell, then keeping my distance with the staff of magnus and Lighting storm spell to sap his magica so he could not breathe, then switched lighting storm for Hoarfrost to drain his stamina to avoid that bite attack. Good luck to my mage players out there who like this mod or GTS

You might benefit from Defeat the Dragon Cult and its fix, Defeat the Dragon Cult - Auto-Start Anytime, which allows the mod to recognize previously defeated cultists, for immersion. I prefer both mods.
