Summary
The lanterns implemented by Quick Light require no fuel. This mod changes that. The duration of the light can be adjusted via MCM. Yes, it keeps track of the fuel usage, i.e. turning it off won't result in a reset on the duration.
There is also a version for the Wildlander modlist. There, as long as one has an Iron Lantern, it can be used as an indefinite light source. Again, with this mod, you will need to use fuel to be able to use the Quick Light lanterns in Wildlander.
Crafting
Ofc, you will need to craft a lantern with fuel. For the Quick Light only version, there is a new item called Lantern Fuel (available at merchants). You need to have both Lantern Fuel and a Lantern in your inventory AND click on the Lantern Fuel to craft a Lantern with Fuel.
For Wildlanders it is intuitive (so you might wanna just go for what seems natural instead of looking it up here). The recipe is
Installation
Before installing, deactivate Quick Light using its MCM and save (this step is for mid-playthrough, duh). To install, let this mod overwrite Quick Light's scripts and load quantLanternsWithFuel.esp after QuickLight.esp or Wildlander.esp, depending on the version. Load your save and activate Quick Light using its MCM. Play!
Uninstallation
Should be ok to uninstall mid-playthrough. Follow the clean save procedure. Deactivate Quick Light using its MCM before uninstalling.
