    A separate file for the GoG version is now live.
    A straight ESP for the GoG version is also available.
    Make sure you pick the correct file for the version of the game you have.

      I don't know the mod but that is definitely a Reindeer :D

      Maybe look for renegade Santas nearby.

      Yeah, I didn't know what it was. I was on the road by dawnstar and it come galloping up, then turned around and walked back to a Santa looking dude, and he had a reindeer bill of sale for 1400 gold.. Sold.

    Hi, I have AE of the latest version 1.6.640, but downgraded with the best of both worlds downgrader to 1.5.97. I thought it might work since it's only an ESP and not a dll, but it doesn't seem to work. Is there any way to use it with 1.5.97? Would I need to port it?

    This is not working for me. I have at it the second to the bottom of my load order with only Alternate life start being at the bottom. The only survival mod I have is the patch that fixes what UESSPatch broke. The only other atronach mod I have is Enhanced Atronachs. I cannot think of any other mod that would cause this not to work.

      Doubtful, since it has it's own values for warmth etc. but give it a try? just place mine lower in the load order than anything else

    I am using Flame Atronach SE mod, and apparently this mod does not work with it.

    Am i doing something wrong?

      you must have a survival mod that is overwriting it.
      I am using the same mod as you, as shown in the screenshots

    Mod doesn't appear to be working for me. I'm running Skyrim Steam version 1.6.640 through SKSE. Not sure if updates borked it or if something is wrong with my load order. I did run it through LOOT though. I don't think I have any other mods that affect the mechanics of survival mode. I tried entering a different cell, reloading a save, disabling and re-enabling survival mode and nothing seemed to make it work.

      I would have to say it's a LO issue at first glance.
      Try placing mine below everything else manually.
      Also, the effect can have a very limited range at times for some reason.
      Once cast, try standing face to face with the atronach.
      Once I get my pc set back up for mod work, I will take a look at it if it still doesn't work.

    It isn't working for me. I am using GOG Skyrim AE with Survival Mode enabled. I am not using Frostfall, and I am not using Survival Mode Improved; but I am using Campfire, Apocalypse Spells, and Odin Spells.

      Ahh ok, thanks for the update. I have the GoG version purchased but not installed yet, so wasn't able to test that.
      Thanks for letting me know.
      If I have time this weekend, I will try and see what needs to be changed to make it work with the GoG version.

      I think the biggest thing will be making SSEEdit work with the GoG version of the game.I have found a lot of info on it though, so once I install the GoG version, I will try to duplicate the mod for that version.

      EDIT:
      I found how to make SSEEdit work with the GoG version, and redid the mod from scratch for that version as a separate file.
      Tested in my own game.

      I'm sorry it took me this long to test it, but the GOG version also is not working for me.

      It's not a big deal. I have plenty of other sources of warmth including portable ones. But I'll keep checking if you want for debug purposes.

      I'm not sure what to tell you about this one...
      I am running the GoG version, and it definitely works in my game.
      It does seem like they need to be looking at you, in both versions of the game.
      If they are not, try standing right on top of one and see if it gives you warmth.
      Also, this is a ESP flagged as a ESL, so you should be able to move this in your load order.
      Try loading my mod last, and let it override anything if a pop-up asks.
      If you have other survival mods, it is very likely it is being overwritten.

      Yeah, the load order is likely causing it, especially as it's right up almost at the top but Apocalypse Magicka and Ordinator (most likely to affect flame atronachs) are down near the bottom.

      I can't move it down to the bottom of the load order. I can move other mods around just fine for the most part, but this one I can only swap positions with Safe Containers and it refuses to move any further than that. I don't know why it refuses to allow me to move it, but it seems to have something to do with being in bold text. It is in a group of 4 plugins at the top:

      USSEP
      Campfire
      Safe Containers
      Flame Atronachs Give Warmth

      And I can move all 4 around freely relative to each other but they won't move lower and I can't move other plugins higher.

      Strange. I for sure saved it as a ESP with a ESL flag, so not sure about that.
      It could be because this mod is a part of the official survival mode creation, that's part of the base game now.
      In effect like trying to move the main parts of the game around.
      All it is, is a piece of that creation with a few text edits, that overrides the original copy of itself..
      If I had to pick a culprit for something not making my mod work, I would point the finger at USSEP.
      Who knows what they did to the base game code for reasons...
      Campfire may be part of the problem too. In my steam version, I'm running campfire and my mod together without issue though.
      If you can move them around, in that group put my mod last and give that a try.
      I will ask for advice on the gamerpoets discord server about it as well.

      I just uploaded a straight ESP version of the mod.
      You can try and see if you can move it lower in the load order.
      I tested this straight ESP version in my game, and it worked as well.
      If it's still a no go, it might need a patch with one of your other mods.

      It was an ESP with an ESL flag. I have a bunch of other mods like that as well, and they are able to sort in the main list. But I also have plenty of mods that don't carry that flag and can still be sorted. I don't know how any of this works internally.

      The new version works! Also, the warmth is very small and gentle, perfect! Not enough to just make you cozy warm literally anywhere, but it can keep you from freezing to death as long as you sleep enough to cast the thing!

      All these tools to weather the cold make me want to visit Atmora...
      Heh, maybe flame atronach's duration should count down faster or slower depending on the local temperature.

      Good, glad that it worked for you.
      As far as range, intensity, etc though, I have no control over that part.
      All this does is add the atronachs and 1 weapon to the warmup object list, from it's own drop down menu.
      Someone that knows what they are doing, could probably change their heat source values.

    Great second mod James, I love when they make sense.

    Only FYI... 1.6.353 and up are not AE, they are the normal game now. AE is only used to describe the CC bundle DLC download. You can remove the AE requirement and just list it for version 1.6

      I did remove the AE tick from the required dlc list, and added a "(ver 1.6.xxx)" in the description.
      Hopefully it won't confuse too many people.

    I don't use Survival Mode - but do use Frostfall.  Love the idea, and I'll see if I can modify it for Frostfall for my game.

      There is already one for frostfall. Trully Hot Flame Atronach for Campfire and Frostfall

      Frostfall should have a "warmth object list" somewhere in it's esp. All you have to do is add the flame atronachs to that list.
      That's all I did here.

      P.S. if you add them to a warmth object list, it won't matter what mesh or enb you use, "It just works" tm
      you should be able to add them to the cooking pots list of heat sources, if you want to use them to cook with like that other mod as well (I think).
