You will need to open the BSA and delete the file. Then remove it's entry from the ESP in the Creation kit. It isn't easy, for someone not well versed in modding.
This mod looks really fantastic but sadly I'm experiencing the seemingly common bug of "bald caps" on various npcs, especially guards & factions like stormcloaks & imperials. I've tried the bsa technique recommended as a fix in the comments below but the bald cap bug is persistent & even that didn't fix it for me. If anyone has advice it'd be greatly appreciated! Awesome mod in concept, just wish I could get it to fully work in practice.
Ok im done... Loot and MO2 don't show anything about this mod conflicting with another one. Couldn't find anything in SSEEdit as well, including the patches for ICH. I extracted the BSA, manually checked .nif files, moved the mod to the bottom of the load order. NOTHING helped with the fing bald/missing head bug. If someone has a solution I would really appreciate it. I don't really need it in my load order, but it drives me crazy that nothing fixes it...
If memory serves, this mod works, in part, by reassigning the remade helmets to the hair slot. Could be that it's conflicting with a hair mod, or a mod that, for whatever reason, is using the hair slot to cause the baldness issue. Some kind of oddball head mod, maybe? Or clothing mod?
The description page also notes that it's incompatible with any mod that changes the meshes of the altered helmets. That might have something to do with the disappearing heads. The vanilla way closed-faced helmets work is to replace your characters head in the way that open helmets replace their hair. Something might be overwriting this mod and reassigning the helmets back to the head slot
Have you tried moving the mod higher in the load order to see if that helps fix or, at the very least, alter the problem?
Also have a look at this comment. Cathedral - Armory causes conflicts if used without its compatibility patch. Check to see if you're using that mod and make sure you have the patch if so.
As I said. I tried everything already. Also I kept the same armor/hair mods for a very long time and never had that issue before. It doesn't matter now tho cuz I switched to Simply realistic armor.
I come back to this every once in a while hoping there would be an update. Imagine if this mod still had support to fix the invisible heads and a FOMOD installer option to choose exactly what helmets you wanted to have it open faced and CC ae helmet armor support too. One can only dream someone/the uploader picks this up once again. Really a great mod.
Patch? For what mod are you referring to? It should work fine with AE.
If possible and you tried installing it and it didn't work, elucidate your problems please. It would make it easier to understand your installation issues and it should also make it easier to suggest any alternatives.
Another mod gave the open face treatment to the Creation Club helmets if that's what you're referring to. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/70992

Yep. Using it just fine.
I seriously wish a mod author would see this.
