Now I remember why I made a comment on this mod in 2017, I though it was broken, it isn´t BUT Skyrim is.
Steady hands 2 has being broken for 11 years and there doesn´t seem a way to fix it no matter how many mods you install, it just won´t work and if it does at some point it may just break. Hence using this mod is an invitation to get an unfixable bug for archers. For a work around, I recommend using another mod that gives you a book that will give you perks every time you read it, or mods that add more perks per level, that way you effectively do what this mod does but with a more manual control over broken perks that this mod does NOT fix nor does intent to.
OK, since I'm using the 1.4 for now, for every perk that has 2 - 5 levels, I need to actually give myself that perk by assigning a perk point to it. Now, what about the perks that only have 1 point? Do those automatically get activated when the skill level in that tree is reached? Will there be a visual indicator that the perk is activated? I.E. changing form the pale blue to larger Red? I'm a bit confused by this new version.
Also, if I missed assigning the perk point initially (First one in the whole tree) and get to the level of where the next stage of the multiperk kicks in, and I assign the perk point, will the mod make sure I reached the next stage or will I have to wait for another level up to trigger it?
*EDIT* OK, I think I'm remembering how it all works now, for whatever reason I was mixing this mod up with a mod that just automatically gave you every perk you skill level required without having to initially spend any points, you were just automatically given the points when you reached the skill level..
I think I've lost my way with this mod, as I can't tell whether a perk needs points, or if a perk I've added a point to is actually leveling or not, or if the single point perks ABOVE the other perks are actually getting activated... Is there some way for me to check if perks are getting activated once the requirements are met?
Ever though of adding some perks to compensate? I mean, almost every build with this mod ends at level 30. Beyond that, you do not know where to put your perk points without transforming your build into a jack of all trades...
I don't want to make the mod too complicated, I use Skyrim Skill Uncapper to customize perk points. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8889/? It's very good, I recommend it.
Have you seen the mods post tab? The author pinned a explanation on how the mod works. I made it so that after level 20 I get 1 perk every 2 levels, then after level 40 I get 1 every 3 levels, and etc. It's a great mod as you can make it to you would like it.
Really having a blast playing my current playthrough with the Skill version of your mod. Makes the game fun again without having to worry about perk points every level.
Thanks for the mod. Works beautifully. After playing Skyrim as often as I have, it's nice to have this automated so I can explore some additional perk combinations. Happy to endorse.
Hopefully a simple request, would it be possible to upload the older versions of this mod? I would like to revert to 1.3 before the perks were changed to Character level based
1.3 was the version that added the Illusion tree and was also the last version that had Skill level based advancement.
It was the only version of the mod I missed downloading. I have 1.1, 1.2, 1.3.1, and 1.3.2 I've tried to revert 1.3.2 back to skill based 1.3, but I don't 'get' how you did it.

Sorry to bother you about it.

Just so you know for future editing.
That makes more sense now
