Have you waited 48 hours in-game after you installed this mod? It takes like 2-3 in game days for vendors to restock what they're selling. I'm assuming you're on version 4.10 or newer too? Otherwise your game doesn't even have the energy tanks.
If that's not it, then you probably have another mod conflicting with this, and so the vendor changes this mod makes got overwritten by something else.
Appreciate ur help but waiting didn't work either and yea I did get the 4.1 version. The only magic mod I have is apocalypse. Tried disabling that and still nothing. Thx for trying tho. Still got the suits tho so that's a plus lol.
If I remember correctly, yes. Although they are just stat modifiers like to increase speed or magicka, so if you really wanted to you could just use commands to increase those things as well.
Hey, Just a minor thing, but I can't seem to get the Energy takes to stack? Once I learned one, It seemed to function like a spell Tome, and said I can't learn it again.
Any plans for adding the Light Suit? (and Dark Suit for those enjoyers out there) ABSO-Lutely Love this btw, went straight for Phazon, cause I'm a Phazon Pheind XD (tis the name of my old clan in days past for games you could make clans in when I did that, if you can't tell by my name, I'm a massive Metroid Prime fan!)
Thank you! Yes I got the Phendrana Drifts reference ;D
I don't have any current plans to make the light suit or dark suit, the models of the suits you see in the mod weren't made by me, I just ported an old Skyrim mod and made them compatible for Special Edition's engine, as well as doing the scripts and stuff. The mod I ported didn't have an arm cannon or light suit, so this mod doesn't either.
Eventually I'd like to add more suits and a beam cannon, but that involves making custom assets instead of using ones that already exist, so until I get really good at Blender to create models that do those Metroid designs justice, I won't be doing it. Although that said if you or anyone else have some skill with Blender and are interested in helping out, I'd probably be able to add those things sooner.
So short answer, I'm not against adding them at all, I just don't currently have the skill to make those models myself yet.
I understand, modding is indeed hard work and modeling even more so. I barely dabble in "making shapes" in a 2D vector graphics tool, much less 3D modeling. Best I can get you is....Minecraft blocks XD. So doing even as much as porting a mods models is impressive. All I do mostly is make custom spells for my personal use.
Ohhh an arm cannon would indeed be pretty cool! Imagine dual wielding them with the existing mechanics XD that'll be fun. I found a way to make an instant shot spell that requires no charge time, so it fits right with a rapid fire arm cannon build!
I have another question though. Do you know how to make things like armor/weapons into crafting recipes? I think it would be a neat addition to have the ability to craft the suits with the higher tiers of smithing, but I don't know anything about making crafting recipes and attaching them to items. Might you know how I might go about doing that, or maybe where to learn how? (pls excuse me if I somehow glossed over the fact that they are already crafting recipes)
I've never actually done the crafting recipe part, but I believe that can be found under the name of something like "crafting templates" in the creation kit. I remember seeing the option to make recipes, it just never appealed to me since usually I just make spells (which this mod even started out as)
I could swear the suits already had crafting recipes, though I'm not sure how much sense it makes to be able to craft Chozo tech. Unless you meant just making crafting templates in general?
I can't seem to find the necklaces or spells in Delphine's basement chest. Does anyone have the same problem, or know the item codes so I can add them through console commands?
Are you using the ESP file version? I suggest that, if you didn't try it yet.
Anyway, the command to get them would be "help [followed by the name of the item you want]", to find beams, it should be "help beams", to find suits it should be "help suits"
Using those commands will show you item ID, so just find the ones you want. Then enter "player. additem [full ID of the item here] [quantity/amount of the item you want here, so probably put 1]"
Without brackets or quotations of course. You can however use quotations around an item name to get something specific, so help "varia suit" will get more specific results than just help "suit" would. Let me know if this works :)
I realized I didn't have the ESP file, thank you. I just had the 3.0 file with the suits (though now with the ESP file, I had to decide to load the ESP first, then the 3.0 file with the suits after in the mod manager). I found them in delphine's basement chest!
But now I've run into (potentially) another issue. I equip the suit from my inventory as described on the mod page, but I don't see the suit model. Is that part of this mod? or is that another mod I need to install?
Are you equipping the necklace suits? The necklace suits don't have models, they only exist for the effects.
The reason the necklace suits and models are separate is because I made this mod before I got permission to use those assets, so it was much easier to make necklaces that had the effects than to wait for permission. Which I eventually got. Next time I work on an update for this mod, I plan to combine them so the actual suits will grant the abilities, and the necklaces won't be needed anymore.
If you're equipping the actual suits and it still isn't working though, it could be that you need to extract the BSA file. You'd have to reinstall the mod to do that I think, at least for Mod Organizer 2. I don't remember if you have to extract the BSA for this mod, I did have to, but that may be because I ported the power suit models from LE Skyrim. Since I ported it, you might not need to extract the BSA at all.
The suit mod IS included in this mod, in version 3.00. It looks like the ESP version might not be in 3.00, so you can just replace the ESL with the ESP and it should work.
That original suit mod is on the Steam Workshop for Skyrim LE, so to even use it, you need to have Skyrim LE, which is no longer available. I had to jump through hoops to get it working, but I did get permission from the author to use their mod in this mod, so you shouldn't have to do anything to have them.
Yep. I've ported that mod to SE and it works perfectly for me. However, it'll have to stay a personal port for myself unless I can get permission from the MA of the steam workshop page to use their file for this mod. Once I get permission, if I do, I can add it to this mod.
Update, there are now Power Suits added! I got permission to upload them, it's in version 3.00.
At the moment it's just a port, but I'll work on maybe adding scripts to them and stuff later on. In the mean time, you can use the necklaces which simulate suit functionality.
