How sad, I looked it up and apparently the cat's real name was Jess and she passed away from cancer back in 2020. I'll be carrying this around in her memory!
As stupid as this sounds... I'd think a whole collection of Maxwells (with little differences) "hidden" throughout Skyrim with a differing features between them all would be wonderful. Could even be as simple as each Maxwell has a little hat or an outfit based on where it's located. Whiterun Maxwell (standard), Solitude Maxwell (Imperial), Windhelm Maxwell (Stormcloak), Winterhold Maxwell (mage), etc
It'd be a cute scavenger hunt to find them all, provided there isn't too many. But if not, at least we have this one to keep us company on our adventures.
