- Read the Q&A and scan the posts BEFORE posting about: - the hair in the screenshots (I'm going to start deleting questions about this) - invisibility - facial expressions not working - The MCM (I'm deleting these generally as well if they don't contribute)
If the MCM isn't working for you, I'm not sure why because it's working for myself and a lot of others. Some things you can try: 1) Open the console and reboot your MCM by typing: setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1 2) Start the game with the plugin disabled (or better the mod completely removed, including all LetYourHairDown scripts), then add it into the game while playing 3) Try on a new game
Walking Animation Troubleshooting 1) The problem is 1000% on your end 2) Hood anim will always stop you from walking I believe, the immersive one won't 3) Works with FNIS and Nemesis, others may not have the support (read through the comments)
Version 4.0 is a rebuilt (i.e. new file) version of the mod and is my last attempt at helping those with an MCM issue. Ask for an esl and I will hunt you down.
I saw this and ignored it for a while until it got on January's Mods of the Month and I said OK, let me check this out.
I Love it!
I had my normal hair that I am now using for "down", and one that I really liked also that now I can wear outside! And I love getting new mods that I can use with Nemesis (I used your addon)
I really like it can be saved then loaded with a new profile!
This is such a good idea you had! (+1 for Mods of the Month from me!)
Any reason this mod is messing up my save games? Is it because it's not OK to have installed with male characters?
Frame count <a href="script://letyourhairdown_playeralias">letyourhairdown_playeralias</a> occurs the second most often as a stack frame (546 occurrences)</p>
A couple things: I'm playing on version 1.5.97 with the BEES and nemesis, and I'm able to swap with a hotkey when using the debug setting.
Although there is no animation, it just swaps the hair.
The hair did auto swap for me once to let it loose when i entered an inn but there was no animation for it when it happened.
Does this not work with the open city kind of mods like no load screens for whiterun? like does it not know to flag to peace or danger when the world is adjusted with open cities? or is it something else not triggering it.
I Have a work around for the facial expression and eye blinking issue and using 2 hairs from the same mod. I fixed it in my game for Modular SMP Hairstyles by creating a duplicate of the mod, renaming the esp and appropriate folders, then changing references to the esp name to the new esp name in the xml's. Then in game select one hair from the original mod esp and the other hair from the renamed mod esp. So far its working good for Modular SMP Hair Styles, may or may not work for other hair mods but worth a try. Hope this helps.
Love your mod. A true pity that vampirism breaks it. Nothing to do about fixing it given your coded fix suddenly ceased working for me, but figured I'd leave my thanks anyway given I showed up to figure out why my hotkey suddenly "broke", it's such a small thing but I love it. Appreciate all the hard work!
Okay so quick thing for those who come after me: if the built in workaround for vampire hair swapping suddenly stopped working after it was fine, and you've recently used Vampire Lord, save and quit, reload the game. You'll load in without hair, but you just swap again and you're back without any issues. Or that's how it went for me.
Great work on this mod Darkness, I'm glad it fixed cause I have a hard time imagining my gameplay without it!
I want to add a little hack that I found exciting if that's ok! So if anyone is using KS hairdos and are playing a beast race, you can actually use the "unusable" hairstyles with this mod! (You'll need race menu!)
Step 1: Create a human or Elven character. (No need to customize, you just want the hair.) Step 2: Using this mod, save the hair up and hair down option you want within the mcm. Step 3: Use race menu and create your beast race character. (Or load them in, however you choose.) Step 4: Load in the hair you just saved within the MCM for this mod. Step 5: Use the hot key for this mod and the hair should appear if it hasn't!
Then enjoy! Some hairs will obviously have clipping issues but the ones I selected weren't enough to bother me. :)
You can do this mid game as well. All you need to do is make a human or elven character so you can save the hair options you want, then load them into your current character.
Hope this helps! Thanks again FarmingDarkness for this excellent mod!
Loving this mod, thank you for making it! It's been working with no issues whatsoever with every update for quite a while - it's a permanent addition to my load order.
I'm really enjoying the gameplay effects from having the hair up or down.
If you're still tinkering with the mod, I have a request regarding the gameplay effects: for each of the gameplay effects, it'd be lovely if you'd let the player configure which hair state triggered it, rather than simply turn it off. For example, with my current character I'd like spell damage and magicka to be boosted by "hair down". Basically I'd like the states to be hair up = physical stuff; hair down = social and magical... and I'd be able to do that if the MCM settings allowed my to choose which state bonus / malus applied to.
Just a minor request, if it's convenient for you some time. Great work in any case :)
Anyone know what happened to the immersive animation? Would love to use it but corvoassasin12's page is blank for me. Can anyone send me the file? Cheers.
Yeah the walking animation works for me. The only issue I've had with this mod was that it broke my regen. Probably a conflict with one of my mods. If that happens to anybody, just download "Realistic Regen"
I've run into a small hiccup. For some reason this mod breaks Menu Maid 2. Once this mod is loaded it breaks Menu Maid 2 and no MCMs for any mod will load.
I can’t fathom how this could break other mods. They’re independent plugins. This isn’t something I can patch and I have no idea why there’s mcm issues in the first place.

I didn't know the mod was in there, that's awesome!

It's giving me a ton of stack fram errors.

I had been up for 30 hours, and deep into a mod bender.
Ended up finding the animation myself.
Great mod.

Would it be possible for a patch to be made?
"You must have MCM that is freezing/looping in OnInit or OnConfigInit function".
Is that possible how Let Down Your Hair has its MCM set up?
