Has anyone found a MCO moveset that works with whips? im using vanguard and while any mace moveset "works" and shows accurate precision trails the whip just doesn't animate or it will kind of animate for one strike then it goes back to neutral while the hitboxes work.
Someone made a fix for enchanted whips and in the images they had a gif with a mco moveset that worked with whips but even though people asked they haven't responded
So yeah if anyone has a moveset or settings that make whips animate on MCO or if you want to create a elden ring moveset for whips you'd be a hero!
I'll look into it and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for bringing this up, I tend to get side tracked and forget a lot of the stuff that I say I'll do, the reminders help.
After doing some testing, everything seems to be working correctly for quarterstaffs. I even managed to fix claw weapons this time, they're still a bit janky, but they work in both 1st and 3rd person.
It's gonna take a bit more testing, but In a day or two I'll release a general patch that covers every weapon. If people wanna tweak the settings, notepad++ has an easy feature for that.
I don't know if I'm the only person having this problem but the hitbox is coming out too high in first person, about 30 degrees higher than where the crosshair is. Is this an issue with my install? I've reinstalled twice and I have all the requirements. If it isn't a problem on my end, when do you think you'll get around to fixing it, if at all?
P.S. 3rd person hitbox is fine I just don't play in 3rd person.
Unfortunately, this mod can't fix every little quirk with precision. It makes whips usable, but they're not perfect. I spoke with Ershin about this topic roughly half a year ago and he said that the animations would need to be remade with precision in mind if you wanted them to function like they're supposed to in both first and third person mode.
Wow, that was fast. Much appreciated. A little disappointing but 100% understandable. It was honestly what I had expected though, just generally looking at how it came out and how the hitbox was tied to the hand.
which other weapons are problematic with precision? I was thinking about using a very stripped version of AA and would remove the problem weapon types.
edit: based on the visible capsule wireframe enabled, all your default animations appear fine other than whips n claws. only other minor issue I saw was the bottom/back grip of the quarter staff doesn't have a hit capsule. rapier, pike, halberd all looked good.
Shortly after making this mod, I tried to fix claws and failed. I spoke with Ershin about it a while back and he said that the animations would need to be reworked to be more compatible with precision.
Quarterstaffs may be fixable though, after I failed with the claws I ended up losing my motivation and forgot about them. I don't mind taking a look into that, it shouldn't take much time to fix, assuming that it's possible.

Edit:- NVM I'm a doofus. I read the description for the complete but not this one lol.

I've been missing being able to use the whips, and the few times enemies do, I just stand there and laugh at them
