Newest version is 1.1.4 Added DLSS Preset Selection (If you want this feature you need to update UpscalerBasePlugin as well); Added option to render ReShade effects before upscaling which is the best spot for RTGI and Comic.fx.
Don't bother installing it on steam deck. While the upscale technically works, it doesn't improve your performance, even reduces your fps in some case.
You're better off running the game at 960x600 or 1152x720 with the deck's built-in FSR, I still get ~40fps in dense area with TPD 8.
FSR/XeSS tested in dense open area (TPD 8, 1280x800): quality mode ~27fps, performance mode ~22fps, ultraperformance ~16fps
I dont seem to be getting the menu when pressing END. Tried downloading the mod manually and throught vortex but still nothing. Any idea how i should fix this ?
So, the only thing i get after installing this is a black screen with quest markers of npcs around me and sounds. i cant see anything except for the occasional flicker of the everything before it goes back to just a black void of a world. even the menu screen is a void of darkness except for the new game and that menu
This mod doesnt work with ENB, for that you apparently need the Patreon paid version. Disable ENB effect from the ENB menu and it should work, or just use the TAA option, that should work with ENB and also boost your FPS a little.
So to fix, first open ENB then disable the effect, then press END and select TAA instead of FSR, finally re-enable ENB.
DLSS locked at 1200x800 resolution. I can only play my native setting "1920x1200" if I change it to TAA, and even with that I cannot edit the quality in the menu. Help.
Hmm, I'm encountering a weird PhotoMode issue when using alongside this Upscaler. My screenshots get downscaled. I suppose I could always just use PhotoMode for the setup of the image then use Steam's screenshot system, but it's definitely a problem.
If a modder wants to make a living off the mods they make, like Elianora did for a time, thats totally fine.
If a modder wants to release their mods for free, that's also fine.
Whether a mod is actually worth the money is dictated by whether it provides something enough to even deserve to be bought.
When you make comments harassing mod authors for it, all you are doing is leaving a giant sign in the comment section to all of the rest of us showing that you are not only morally vapid, but a massive bully who treats everywhere they go as you treat twitter.
We read your comment, and are disgusted by your shallowness and thoughtless comment.
You are the problem, seek mental health treatment.
I disagree as a Brit with half the comments on this. I feel like Utility mods SHOULD be free regardless and ofc credited where applicable.
Where custom assets like special and tailored clothing as an example come into it.....sure. Charge for those and specially requested mods in general like DX series. Bug Fixes and Utilities should all be a shared endeaver.
But it goes without saying, if you wanna critise people for paywalling mods as much as it can be seen as greedy especially if it has wider applications..then atleast look into modding yourself before judging how someone using a mod that may not work as well considering Skyrim wasn't even designed for this. I said my peace and hope it helps this rediculous (at this point) conversation.
I can only say there were no upscalers before PureDark, so I'm grateful to him if money made it possible. It's an extremly useful mod that probably wasn't easy to make, since there is no other alternatives to this day. As the other people said, stop feeling entitled like an adolecent and accept things as they are, respecting people's free will. Go complain to a more proper site like reddit please, this borders toxicity. Sorry for polluting the comment section, but needed to be said. Won't reply back.
I've got this thing working on Steam Deck, and it's great, but when I open menus (e.g. just press B \ Tab, or open inventory\magic) the world starts to "shimmer" and it hurts my eyes.
Doesn't happen for Journal menu tho.
I turned off TAA and FXAA and DOF in BetINI. I also tried sliding DOF in-game setting all the way to the left, that didn't help
I don't have any ENB or anything like that - just a bunch of popular "fixes" mods.
Is there a workaround to get this working on 1.6.1170? I just redownloaded Skyrim and grabbed Nolvus. Didn't think of a few things I relied on, on my old LO. But this seems to CTD on launch on the latest version
edit. nevermind, I forgot to install the enb test build properly
Not sure who this will help but just in case you're auto CTD, and are absolutely sure you're following the directions, I have discovered that Avast Antivirus for some reason doesn't like this and will block Skyrim's Process. Mirrored configs on laptop and desktop but Laptop had Bitdefender instead of Avast. With AVAST CTD and deletes Skyrim SE. Turned it off no problems. Worth checking if it helps anyone.

Millions of mods have been provided for many games, for free.
