For the future reference of anyone wanting to try Honeyside Thane of Riften, and you also have Scholar's Library installed.
Those two will clash badly. With the help of some people on the forums, I learned to use SSEEdit to modify Scholar's Library to remove the cell for Honeyside.
In this way, I was able to keep Scholar's Library, and eliminate the conflict between the two mods.
I think I've tried most of them, and this is the best Honeyside. The open hole in the floor for stairs (no railings) is a bit odd in our modern safety-aware world. But that is minor...and it works.
So, let me ask this. If one has no other mods that affect houses in Riften, will this mod work well? I see a lot of people talking about clipping and other issues. Is this because of mod conflicts that affect Riften and Honeyside? Or is this mod just buggy?
I had strange walls in the house. Removed ELFX from player homes and it was fine. I have no other problems at all. Added a tanning rack myself using campfire crafting.
Hey so I love this mod and everything works EXCEPT the bathroom! If I even go into that part of the house, my DB gets stuck, unable to activate anything in the house, and I can't even change POV from first to third person. So basically I have to avoid even entering the bath area or my DB won't be able to leave the home. Any ideas?
I have this exact same issue, everything in the house is fine for me except entering the bathroom removes all player controls, so nothing can be interacted with, all I can do is walk around inside. I fixed this by opening the console and typing; enableplayercontols 111111111 and then I can activate items and talk to my followers again. I do have to do that every time I go down to the bathroom though. I don't have a clue why it strips contol when entering that area. I do the same thing with the thalmor party so I shove a pretty ballgown, heels, gloves, jewellery I want to wear into infinite storage spell called Deep Storage from Apocalypse Magic then once arriving use that command to get full contol over my character, grab the items after casting the spell, and then dance with everyone and try not to set the place on fire while I'm there.
First of, thank you for creating this mod. I used it on LE before, it was my favorite mod for Honeyside. But I have two problems with this mod on AE. I have bought the childrens bedroom in the correct order by buying the Enchantments room first then replacing it with the childrens bedroom. But the room is still half empty.
The other problem is that the both doors that lead to the outside are not in their correct places. The one to Riften have moved a bit further and is in front of the Dragon Priest masks (also the holders are spelled "priedst" not "priest" as the should be. The door to Skyrim have merged withe the fireplace in the master bedroom
Edit: Two more problems. Some parts of some walls are transparent when I'm looking through one side of it. From one room the wall is there but when I go in to the other room that wall is gone and I can see the other room. The other problem is that my character also loose all control when I enter the bathroom.
I really like this version of Honeyside, I think it's perfect. It always gave me some problems, I used the patch for Lux, but despite this there was always some problem with walls and objects that appear and disappear depending on how you move. So I tried to understand in SSEdit and redid the patch for Lux to be safe. I changed the loading order of the house and the patch in every way, nothing. But as time went by, now it's a total disaster. It's really a shame ... I didn't want to give up on this version.
I used the mod before with no problems, Uninstalled the game and decided play again, installed it but there is a wood wall separating the kitchen. I reinstall the mod and couldn't do anything. any ideas before I delete it?
The house looks amazing on the author's screenshot.
Unfortunately I've got the bug with the wall in the dining-room (plus some other things clipping). I've got the ELFX-Patch installed that excludes Honeyside. Does anyone know how to solve the issue?
Everything functions perfectly. But I am wondering why there is an empty room with a rug, a turned over table and turned over chair? I am not thane of riften. I using alternate start mod and this is my starter home. Do I need to become thane to fix this room?
Do you need to be thane in order to avoid having an empty and disheveled room? If it is the room downstairs, then, yes. That room is reserved for you housecarl, Iona. Once you become thane, she comes to live with you there and the room is fixed up for its new tenant.
I have the same issue with Iona's room - except she has floating bed covers (no bed) with the overturned table clipping through it, and the overturned chair and bucket, and straw scattered on the floor Iona is my housecarl (she was in there when I first got the house as Thane) and her room didn't get fixed up.
Ok, New modlist. New save. But the house seems unfinished. I bought everything from the steward in Riften. But I have some empty areas in the basement. I have floating blankets in what I assume is Iona's room, with it not being tidied (cobwebs, turned over chair clipping through her "bed"), an overturned bucket, and a pile of scattered straw! I am Thane, and she is in the house! Overall, the house seems sparsely furnished and not very cosy, which is in contrast to a much earlier playthrough from memory. I can only assume it's a problem with my mod order (this is loading with a couple of other homes just prior to my Alternate Perspective mods, so very late in my load order). It's not the only mod that has been giving me "issues" either (moving them to this spot in the load order has corrected that in the past though).
EEEEK!
After looking at the images section, I have made the place more livable lol. Still no change to Iona's room as yet, even after "instructing" her, but it's been a few in-game days since being in the house and I plan on checking in to see if it's changed.
EDIT: That floating bed is a "noble" bed placed there by the "Brynjolf and The Guild" mod, I am on yet another new playthrough (mod problems again) and this time Iona's room became furnished with 3 regular beds (she was sleeping on one of them), with the green covers sticking out into the centre of the room (no bed, just the covers). I disabled the bed in the console.
