Then you likely have a mod conflict. You might try checking if anything is overwriting this mod, or check if anything changes when you load this mod at the end of your load order.
How would one go about making Bodyslide sliders for this? Or has someone made them already? Not sure if vanilla bodysliders will affect the new chest piece.
As much as I love this mod (and I will continued to use it), there are a couple of things that have popped up for me in terms of bugs.
The first thing I can sort of understand, and that's the fact that the refracting Stalhrim mod I have installed doesn't affect the new armour, any of it. When your mod page said that retextures would be compatible, I hoped it would include refracting mods, but apparently not.
Secondly, and I have confirmed this is also caused by the refracting mod, the Stalhrim on the face of the shield has the front textures missing. It's completely transparent from the front, but still has a texture on the back.
I've uninstalled that refracting mod for now, although with a heavy heart because I like icy armour to look like ice.
I believe the meshes are what creates some or all of the refraction. Just in case I went back to the refraction mod page, downloaded and merged the loose textures and meshes. Then for good measure, I wound up installing CC's UHD Stalhrim Weapons and Armor https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27205 letting this mod override the other two. They all look the same kinda icy now.
I developed a workaround for the shield. Opened the .esp in SSE Edit and changed the model path on the armor/armor addon to the vanilla Stalhrim shield ( meshes\dlc02\armor\stalhrimshield\stalhrimshield.nif ). Both shields look the same but at least no immersion breakage...

I'm still around, but I'm only the bookkeeper of the mod for lack of a better term. The author is luatasantenni, and they, too, are still around. However, I don't know if improving compatibility with other mods are at the top of their list. The mod hasn't been updated since 2013.
This looks cool. It'd be neat to have a version with this replacing the heavy armor, and a new light armor version being made using the old stalhrim model. Nice work.Looks just fancy enough to be decorative and cool without being too much. Fits well in a world with the glass armor model we have.
I Third this idea. It's a shame Immersive Armors compiled all these cool mods and gives us a huge diversity in Armors that look like they belong, but there is almost nothing at all when it comes to Stalhrim Weapons and armour mods that... well.. don't make Stalhrim bikinis... (I'm not blaming anyone, But I may give Modding a crack to see if I could make some more Stalhrim stuff..)

This is actually not entirely true. The stalhrim textures used in this mod are vanilla textures that have been repurposed, so any mods that change those will also change these armors. I use refracting stalhrim just fine with my load.
I have same problem. I use both mods, but there is no refraction on any of equipment, and shield is "empty". And no matter what load order or install order I use.

edit: i loaded just this mod (and alternate start which SHOULDN'T mess with this mod) and it made my girl bald still

The armor/weapons added by this mod are not refractive, but the vanilla ones are. *shrug*
