    Looks wonderful!

However I'm having problems. I've installed the textures + this mod but when I test by spawning a dragon in game it comes out as a vanilla dragon? Removed all of my previous dragon related textures so not sure what's causing it.

Is this compatible with GoT and HotD - Vanilla Dragons Replacer?

This optimized version of GoT dragons makes it so much more practical to have in game. Thank you so much for providing it. The original dragons are beautiful, no one's denying that, but they're pretty demanding.

It's a long shot and a lot to ask, but would you ever consider providing low-poly support for archlyde123's beautiful GoT HotD - Diverse Dragons? The only thing stopping me from using them as a replacer is the performance issues.

The 90% of the modelers nere on Nexus (about Skyrim, I haven't checked for other games' mods), they're simply great 3d modelers... and that's it.
They don't have any idea how to export models for GAMING; they're making models for... Blender/Maya/3D Studio showcase demostration.

I've seen/checked weapons models with insaine polygons; or simple clutters.
Now... this. Dragons with polygons that other games having for... entire castle building!
These GoT dragons models are superb, amazing, much better than vanilla models, there is no doubt about it. But... they supposed to be models for a game, not for a... film! I've tested (the original, super high-poly models) ingame. I have a very good/powerful computer; when I crossed a dragon, my FPS dropped from 60 (never dropping, I always have 60 in the entire game) to... 15-20 FPS!!!

I faced ONE dragon... and I lost 40-45 FPS!
Think about if you using mods they adding MORE than one dragon's spawning in a single cell (area)!!!

So, dear mod author... Please, take care ALL the dragon models, from every other GoT dragon mod they've released.

I've spent the last ~3 days re-doing the mesh overhaul part of my modlist and I have to say you are 100% spot on. Mods that are universally included as "standards" like High Poly Project are simply insane 3D models that should not be in a game like Skyrim and have polygon counts that are tanking people's FPS without them even knowing it. I really like to see how some modders like wSkeever and RCKraken here are taking a stab at making meshes with reasonable polygon counts because it's starting to get out of hand.

Any chance for a low poly Alduin?

That's a 2k diffuse texture but the mesh is still very high poly.

That's normal for such complex mesh. And since its a unique mesh that isnt spammed everywhere, a tri count of 50 is totally fine.
The original simply wasn't game ready for skyrims engine.

No, its 5 times less, also put together a couple armored NPCs and you have the same amount of triangles.

Generally, friend.. you must take care all the 'GoT' dragon replacer mods and reduce the polygons A LOT, as you already did.
I have my half dragons with reasonable polygons (yours) and the rest are super-extreme high-polygon meshes.

I'm waiting to get them all low-poly; good work so far.

Great work on the mod! I found two holes on the right side of the dragons body, where the neck starts. Pretty noticeable up close in vr. Think i noticed a few more on the right side in game but cant spot them in nifscope. Edit: found few more up his neck halfway towards the head on the right side again.
