NOTE: This is for Skyrim SE 1.5.97. No grass in objects does NOT work on any version after as it requires .netframework which again won't work with any version past 1.5.97. Now that's out of the way :)


No grass in objects hates Northern Roads. Honestly, it just doesn't know what to do with it.

This patch fixes that. Most of it anyway, it's not perfect yet but I have a few extra ideas I might try after I find time.

How to use this patch:

This is an updated Northern Roads ESP. If you have a mod organiser, then install this after Northern Roads and let my ESP overwrite it. If you do stuff manually, make a copy of the default Northern Roads ESP and then replace it with mine.

Once you've installed my patch, re-run your grass cache. 

Once you've finished generating grass cache. Disable my patch and let default Northern Roads take over again.

Profit!

How does it work?

Not everyone will care about this part. Basically the magic behind Northern Roads is that it replaces all the road textures and disables Skyrims "Road Chunks" along with editing terrain records, etc. 

NGIO hates this. Basically if you run NGIO after installing Northern Roads then NGIO won't see any road records properly because it tries to find all the road blocks to ensure no grass is built on them :)

My patch simply removes every single Road Block record from Northern Roads, so that when you run NGIO it sees the default Skyrim road blocks again but takes into account Northern Roads landscape changes (good bye floating grass) and doesn't generate grass on the roads again.

It's not some kind of magic. It's just how NGIO works and why Northern Roads caused issues with it.

Future plans:

The current version of this patch should get rid of 90% of the grass on roads and floating grass. I have an idea to update with a new version reverting landscape texture changes to vanilla for generation which SHOULD in THEORY fix up any areas not currently covered by my patch during generation.
