That's true, it somehow blends snow really really well.. I wonder why some times.. could be something with normals. But not sure why would smooth normals be any different to detailed ones.
after playing a lot with a lot of glaciers mod, I ended up liking this more (even if I love them all), it's very realistic and have anyway a touch of fantasy/colors. TOP
I don't think this is caused by your mod, but how come there's no snow shaders applied to any of the glacier meshes ? Everything else, apart from these objects gets covered by snow (BDS 2.11)...
Edit: Nvm, figured it out. It was a blank material applied to "SnowMaterialGlacier" and "SnowMaterialGlacierSlab" within a bashed patch from Wabbajack list. Fixed it by removing the entry in sssedit.
This is a separate ice retexture that covers glaciers, caves and forgotten valley ice. At best possible look, it's best to be used with Skyrim Remastered ice caves mod. That should give an incredible blending of textures.
hi, there is an obvious mismatch between the white version and the lod texture generated with dyndolod, is there something i can do about this? this is hands down the best glacier retex out there and i'd really like to fix this 1 small issue
Edit: I just found out theres a requirement attached to this mod, which one overwrites the other? also is it related to my issue?
It's not a full requirement, mostly an optional one to use either cave meshes from there or icyfixes plugin.
Also I'm not fully sure what you mean since the color options are not generated by dyndolod. It's mostly parallax. The glacier texture itself is the only thing that gets generated.
The textures from this mod are not patched for the LOD meshes from icy mesh remaster (IMC) do not use it, let DynDOLOD do his work and LODs looking superb.
I'm aware of the issues with LOD. Currently this mod has been in a state of abandonment as I've have a lot of other mods to take care of. But as soon as I'm done, I'll be continuing focus on this mod. It will receive a big rebuild as I'm unhappy with a lot of things with this mod. Thanks for your patience !
Well I know that there are some people for sure who are enjoying this mod but now after a while of using it and comparing it to other ones that I've worked on. I just don't fully see this working no where near as good as for example my other release RIM.
There's certainly some things that I don't like though.. Like having far too detailed surface map. Having a rather poor glaciersurface texture which is visible at angles or certain distances. It just needs that extra creativity and work to make it truly shine. The caves personally turned out great for me. Just the glacierslab textures are sorta the lowest point for me.
But thank you for your words :) They mean a lot ^^

" If you're using IMR use only cave meshes and/or IcyFixes.esm"
and I've just been using it with everything added.

The rendered glaciers are kind of bluish while the lod is white with dark spots, the transition is not smooth at all. Do you know what might be wrong?
