About this mod

A set of loose facegen files that swap vaniila heads with the intricately constructed melding of KLF's high poly heads, and the hairstyles with the identical to vanilla but with fully sculpted, 3D braided and textured ones introduced by High Poly Hair.

I've been perennially disappointed by the high-poly hairs for Skyrim. Apachii Sky, KS, etc... I could tell a lot of work had gone into making them, but they weren't what I wanted. All I wanted was for my character's braids to catch the light a bit more, without changing anything else.

Some time back, User Macxhiin released a mesh overhaul for all the hairstyles in the game. It did what I wanted. I liked it; and used it for my character a lot. After some time, I figured out how to apply it to NPCs. Some time after that I successfully applied it to every NPC in the game.

After some exchanges in the comments on Maxchin's mod, I'm uploading that port for the use of others. This marks my second foray into the creation kit, and I'd like to think I'm learning something more than how to port files.

Compatibility notes: Compatible with anything that doesn't replace npc heads. Mostly compatible with individual npc replacers such as Seranaholic, Bijin's warmaidens, or Pandorable's various headsculpts. If you want both my mod and those, make sure the fancy ones load after mine. I will not be changing this.

Fully compatible with anything that adds new playable parts to the player: Eye overhauls, etc... This has been tested alongside my Eyes of the Dovahhe, and Eye Colors unlocked.
Maxchin's original High Poly Hair is no longer a requirement to run this.

Hard requirement- If you want your own character to have the same visual quality as the npc population, you must have the original High Poly Head installed. Otherwise, you will have  a low poly face with high poly hair, and every one else in the game will have smooth faces. HPH is also the only way to work around the male orc hair bug.

Please read my FAQ before asking about compatibility.

Anyone who wants to try fiddling  with these things for themselves might like taking a look at this video: I found it helpful without bogging me down in details unrelated to my project.

Important Note:
I will be unable to work on fixing problems with this for some time, as I am experiencing major computer problems that crash any program above a certain level of complex. This includes Skyrim, several other games, and several non game and highly essential programs. I have basic internet access, and some mail capability. My video editor and sound management tools are among the many failures, and anything Steam based not only crashes, but crashes the computer.  I apologize for the inconvenience and inability to support my players.   I've been perennially disappointed by the high-poly hairs for Skyrim.
