    Update 2.0 released!

In this update I've added an MCM that lets you customize basically everything about the mod, as well as some new features like camera shake and a dodge sound. You can now change how much speed the dodge gives you (there are separate options for left/right dodging and backwards dodging, because backwards movement is generally slower), for how much time, the camera shake, and whether you want the dodge sound to play or not. Remember that during combat everything is louder and messier than if you're just standing around, so if you want to tweak the options, it's probably best to do it in combat!

You can update the mod by simply replacing the old files.

I wanted to change the dodge key, does the mod support any way of doing that?

I like this mod. But i think 1 second dodge is too long. Requiem has something like 0.5 second.

I'd love to make it 0.5 seconds but unfortunately Skyrim can't handle magic effects that last less than a second, which means I'd have to handle that with the script and it would be less performance friendly

Could you make that scripted version for people like me? I'd really appreciate it. I love your mod for its simplicity because all i need is simple sprint-step aside without any fancy animation. But then i played Requiem a bit and cant live without it :]

So, erm, a bit late obviously, but the new version of the mod lets you customize the dodge time and speed (as well as other new features!), and you can make the dodge shorter than 1 second.

Contrary to the description it's working in the third person as well.

This just might be the most goated dodge mod for first person. This needs more downloads.

Can this trigger a dodge animation in the third person somehow? Speed and time settings are superb... if only animations were present this mode would be perfect.

Thank you for this, would it be possible to add a forward dash as well? Anything I could do in the ESP?

I second this. I use True Directional Movement, so a forward dash would fix third person gameplay.

Completely agree, I'm in the same situation.

This is probably the best first-person dodge mod.

    But...

It does this thing, see, where it just, well, stops working.  The only way to get it working again is to disable plugin, load a save game, save the game without the plugin loaded, quit, re-enable the plugin, and load the save you just made.

Any idea why it just poops out?

Edit: now not even the above process gets the mod working again.  even when it's enabled there is no longer an entry in MCM.  : -/

I don't really see any reason to use any other dodge mods honestly, as a requiem 3 tweaks user who just recently went back to vanilla skyrim.

Might be my load order tbh, but anyone else have the simple dodge just not do the dodge when the input is pressed like usual? It just stops working then starts working sometimes. I haven't figured out yet what causes it.

That 100% sounds like script lag

Could be tbh, but does script lag cause it to work indefinitely as well? I've played various times on and off since that comment and it still isn't working.

If your game is very script heavy, it can cause all kinds of weird stuff. The only other thing I can think of is a mod switching your sprint key in the fly for some reason. My mod detects the sprint key every time you close the menu, so try opening it and closing it.
