This is the Soul Reaver, the spectral blade that had become a part of Raziel after he was "revived" as a wraith (and after Kain had shattered the physical sword against Raziel's body).

Now available in Skyrim for your nostalgic role play!





Three variant packs: bound onehanded swords, permanently enchanted and unenchanted.

Swords come in 7 differently colored variants that are somewhat connecting Skyrim and Nosgoth:
  • Shadow Reaver
  • Light Reaver
  • Frost Reaver
  • Fire Reaver
  • Storm Reaver
  • Blood Reaver
  • Wraith Reaver

These variants have their own unique enchantments on Bound Reavers and Enchanted Reavers:
  • Shadow Reaver: absorbs health and slows enemies
  • Light Reaver: damages undead/vampires and absorbs magicka
  • Frost Reaver: ice and stamina damage
  • Fire Reaver: fire damage
  • Storm Reaver: shock and magicka damage
  • Blood Reaver: absorbs health and causes bleeding
  • Wraith Reaver: may cause paralysis, absorbs stamina
Permanently enchanted swords also have a Soul Trap enchantment.

🗡✨ With improvements in One Handed and Conjuration skill trees, the damage and abilities of Bound Reavers will grow.
💥 Improvements in Destruction skill tree influence the magnitude of destructive enchantments on both Bound and permanently Enchanted Reavers.

Enchanted and unenchanted Reavers can be tempered on the sharpening wheel, no perk requirements.
All swords require one Malachite Ingot for tempering, and one of each respectively:
- Dwemer Oil for the Shadow Reaver
- Glowing Dust for the Light Reaver
- Frost Salts for the Frost Reaver
- Fire Salts for the Fire Reaver
- Void Salts for the Storm Reaver
- Vampire Dust for the Blood Reaver
- Ectoplasm for the Wraith Reaver

Unenchanted Reavers can be enchanted however you like. Aside from their appearance and swinging sound, they function as normal onehanded swords.
Enchanted Reavers are permanently enchanted (the enchantment doesn't get drained with use).
You cannot learn enchantments from permanently Enchanted Reavers (can't be disenchanted).
Base and critical damage values for all Reavers are derived from Glass swords.

🔊 All swords are using a unique sound set when you swing the blade - derived from the Soul Reaver sound from Legacy of Kain: Defiance. You can access the slider for this sound in Audio Settings of the game, to make it as loud or as quiet as you wish.

Can be safely installed mid-game. No scripts.

❗ Make sure to tick EnableBigRange in [COMPLEXPARTICLELIGHTS] tab in your ENB menu.
Those who don't use ENB should use the No-ENB patch in Optional files. Swords won't emit light, but they will look and work as intended.





All the items can be found in the first room of the Excavation Site in Understone Keep, Markarth. Just go straight on from the entrance and climb the rubble, the containers are there - a dwemer dresser and a dwemer chest, both unlocked. Refer to featured images.
To access this area, you have to accept Calcelmo's quest to kill Nimhe, and he'll give you the key. Completing the quest isn't required to get to the items.

The Chest contains the swords, while the Dresser contains the books.

📚 You'll get unique Spell Books for every variant of the Bound Reaver, two of each in case you'd like to keep a copy on bookshelves in your player home. There is also the Soul Reaver Manual which will more easily provide info about all swords.

If you don't want to hassle with picking up the items, you can transfer them all into your inventory with the use of Additem Menu.

The reasoning behind the location:

If anyone had dabbled into retrieving weird and powerful objects from other worlds, it would be the Dwemer.
Before Calcelmo had the chance to find out about these swords and spellbooks, spider infestation had hampered the excavation and so the containers were only half-dug out and left like that. Fortunately, a few measly spiders are not a problem for the Dragonborn.
Retrieve the treasure and keep it for yourself.

Many centuries ago in Skyrim Timeline, an aspiring Dwemer conjuration expert had opened the portal to another world, seeking to expand his summoning spells with new and exciting creatures. He didn't know which world he's connecting to, and so Fate had it that he had reached Nosgoth. (In which Timeline? That's up to your interpretation)
Instead, the Bound Soul Reavers had fused with his arms as he plunged them into the portal, shattering the conduit in the process. (Little did he know that Moebius doesn't appreciate anyone messing with his Chronoplast)
The mage marveled at his new powers at first, and, being a scholar, he expanded upon the spell by transferring it to semi-physical manifestations of swords.
However, being tampered with, the sword turned on its wielder and began syphoning his soul. Realizing the peril of this power, the dying mage decided not to share it with his people, but hide it until someone more resistant to the sword's hunger would come and manage to wield it.


Since Dragonborn has the innate ability to devour souls (dragon souls, but it is still a reaving affinity), they are a perfect match for Reavers.

  • The original sword hails from The Soul Reaver Redone by Spazthemax. I have adjusted the mesh, edited the UV map and enhanced the textures.
  • All Bound weapons' effects, meshes and textures are derived from the resource mod Colorful Bound Weapons SE ENB Light by CyborgArmGun. I have reworked the meshes, light colors, textures and enchantments to become Soul Reavers.
  • The base for textures and meshes of Books are vanilla game models. I made custom tomes with images of Soul Reaver symbols and spells, according to their function.
